High on Life – Where to Find Something Sharp

Everything can be solved with pointy things.

Oftentimes in games, locked treasure containers require some manner of key to open up. Well, you know what’s more useful than a single-use key? A knife, to forcefully pry things open! Is it an elegant solution? No, but it’s a much more convenient solution, and that’s what matters. Here’s where to find something sharp in High on Life.

High on Life – Where to Find Something Sharp

Not long after starting High on Life and arriving in Blim City, you’ll be able to explore a small chunk of the city’s streets. You’ll no doubt notice a few pink, box-like creatures here and there, identified by your Gatlian friend Kenny as Lugloxes. These living chests contain valuable stuff, but are sealed up tight. The only way you can open them up, according to Kenny, is with something sharp.

This isn’t a puzzle, but merely a suggestion to come back later. After you complete the game’s first bounty mission and kill 9-Torg, you’ll receive your second traveling companion, the talking knife Knifey. And hey, you know what’s pretty darn sharp? A knife, talking or otherwise.

After you obtain Knifey on your bounty mission, the excitable little chap will inform you that you can use his melee attack to pry open any Lugloxes you encounter in your travels. And by “pry,” I mean slice open in cold blood. Brutal, but they’re full of Pesos, so it’s a net positive for you!

Remember to keep an eye on your radar as you travel, as any nearby Lugloxes will be marked on it with blue pips. Whenever there’s a Luglox around, try to find it and crack it open for a prize! You’ll stop feeling weird about slicing their faces open after you do it a few times, and Knifey will appreciate the stimulation.
