Best Cards for PvP in Magic Awakened

We should note that the cards we will present to you in this guide can function well on their own in another deck but they are most powerful when used in the following combo. However, having this deck is not a guaranteed win. You need to have a lot of practice and a little bit of luck to turn this set of cards into an almost unbeatable tool. Onto the list:

  • Incendio – A great AoE mid-range spell that has a bit of a delay on its cast, which can make it difficult to hit your enemy. However, as you know practice makes perfect, so if you successfully predict where your enemy will move you can hit this spell most of the time. On the other hand, if you want to play it safe, use Incendio for clearing enemy summons since they can’t avoid it as effectively.
  • Broomstick – Broomstick is a great mobility card that can allow you to avoid different attacks and remove any slows or other debuffs from yourself. Moreover, you deal damage during your flight to everyone you touch so it’s an overall great spell that can serve multiple purposes.
  • Expulso – AoE spell best used to clear an area of small summons by knocking them back and resetting the battlefield to your favor. It might not sound like much but it’s a great utility spell that you will use more often than you think.
  • Thunderstorm – This legendary card will be your main source of damage in this build (one of the reasons this is true is due to the Echo that we will use which is described in the second part of the article). It shoots out 15 random lightning strikes that deal 27 damage but whose damage gets increased by 10% every time it kills an enemy (stacks up to 5 times). When on maximum level, it also omits enemy healing which puts this spell among the best ones in the entire game.
  • Oppugno – With Oppugno you create a group of canaries to fly around you and deal damage by suiciding into nearby enemies. Since in most case scenarios you probably won’t go into your enemy’s face, this spell is best used as a defensive tool when you get overwhelmed by enemy summons.
  • Nebulus – Call for a fog in an area when you expect big attacks from your enemy. The best thing to do with Nebulus is actually to go to the corner of your part of the map and just cast it on yourself. If you get hit by anything the spell will of course break, but it will be really difficult for the opponent to do that when they can’t see you (also the summons can’t attack you when in this fog). Oh and have I mentioned the healing boost? You get a healing boost as well when in Nebulus (who wouldn’t love this spell?!).
  • Acromantula Venom – A very powerful common spell. You throw spider venom at your enemies that deals solid damage, slows them, and applies DoT damage (damage over time).
  • Three-Headed Puppy – This cute summon will be the only one in this build even though it costs an astounding 14 MP to cast! Well, the special ability of this card allows it to reduce the cost of casting by 1 each time you cast a spell. This means you don’t use the Three-Headed Puppy right away. You throw other, cheaper spells from this build on your enemy, and when you have cast 14, the cost of this cute summon will drop to 0, and that’s when you summon him. Moreover, don’t disregard him because of his adorable looks! He’s really powerful and tanky summon that can help you immensely!

Best Echo for PvP in Magic Awakened

For the best PvP deck, we recommend you pick Hermione Echo. As we described above, the Thunderstorm card will be the cornerstone of your damage in this PvP build and Hermione Echo is one of the reasons that’s true. After you use 3 spells that cost less than 3 Mana Points (MP), this Echo allows you to cast the strongest spell you have for half a price (Thunderstorm is usually 6 MP, now slashed to 3). You can abuse this and continuously cast Thunderstorm for 3 MP.

Best Companions for PvP in Magic Awakened

The best companions for PvP in Magic Awakened that will complete this awesome deck are Cassandra Hermione and Hagrid. Cassandra is the first companion you can summon that you need to keep in the back and alive for as long as possible. She is really good at hiding you and protecting you overall.

Hermione is an awesome asset due to her ability to copy your skills. We advise that you use a Thunderstorm card as soon as you summon her so that she can duplicate it and allow you to have two of these devastating spells attacking your enemy and dealing massive damage. The combination of two Hermiones (Echo and Companion) is too OP and brings this build the firepower it needs.

When summoning Hagrid he comes on a motorcycle that allows him to pick you up and save you from incoming damage. He also overruns some of the smaller summons while healing you at the same time. A true hero!

Alternatively, if you don’t like some of these cards we advise you to try out Ron. He also belongs to one of the top-tier companions due to his high damage and disable abilities. When he joins the board, he charges towards enemies, turning 6 of them into chess pieces and dragging them behind him. Not only that, but as soon as he defeats 6 enemies he summons a Wizard chess piece – the King to the board. All of this allows him to own and counter summons from those massive summon decks that tend to overwhelm you with plenty of different annoying creatures.
