Goose Goose Duck is the brilliant social deduction game of get-away geese and mallard madness. You know what they say, in any large group of geese, there will always be a few sneaky ducks trying to sabotage and slaughter. In Goose Goose Duck, there are many roles that you could undertake, and there are many ways to play as well as cosmetics to grab.
How to play Goose Goose Duck
At its very core, Goose Goose Duck is a social deduction game. And with social deduction games comes roles, deceit, and sabotage. There are five game modes, but they all have the same constant of some players having a certain role that they need to fulfil whilst avoiding detection.
In a typical game, there will be geese and a few undercover ducks, blending in as geese. The role of the ducks generally is to kill all of the geese, and the geese’s job is to complete all of their tasks before they all die or vote out all of the ducks.
Upon finding a dead body, a geese (or a duck!) can report it, and a meeting is instantly held where everyone can discuss with each other what happened. During that time, everyone (including the ducks) can vote for someone to be killed, or they can vote to skip the killing. The player with the most votes gets killed, but the players will have no idea whether they killed a goose or a duck.
Ducks also have other strategies up their sleeves, such as being able to sabotage the map for advantages, as well as being able to quickly move around the map through vents, something the geese can’t do. Victory or defeat is instantly established upon one of the conditions being met.
That is basically how you play the game, the geese go around doing tasks and sticking together whilst the ducks try to slaughter whilst blending in. There are some special roles that gives some players their own objectives and win conditions, so watch out for those players.

Special Goose Roles
- Bounty Goose: Your goal is to get eliminated first. You will get a reward if you do.
- Mechanic Goose: You can actually use vents, just be careful! It is a suspicious behaviour.
- Vigilante Goose: You can kill one bird per game.
- Technician Goose: When a duck performs a sabotage, you can detect where that duck is on the minimap for a short while.
- Medium Goose: You will know the number of ghosts, therefore the number of dead.
- Canadian Goose: Upon your death, you will immediately self-report.
- Sheriff Goose: You can kill anyone, but killing a geese has serious consequences.
- Lover Goose: You simply must stay alive with your other lover.
- Gravy Goose: You can perform tasks to increase your bounty. Stay alive until the end to receive your bounty as a reward! Killers can only kill you when you are alone.
- Tracker Goose: You can see who’s outside during a sandstorm to catch the ducks in the act!
- Street Urchin Goose: You can pick locks from the inside
- Astral Goose: You can send your spirit through walls. Spooky!
- Esper Goose: You can block clairvoyance and telepathy sabotages, but the ducks will see your location if it is blocked.
- Avenger Goose: You can temporarily kill upon seeing a murder.
- Adventure Goose: The environment cannot kill you.
- Celebrity Goose: Everyone gets notified immediately when you die.
- Mortician Goose: You can investigate corpses to see their role.
- Locksmith Goose: You can always open the jail door.
- Politician Goose: You break ties and can never go to jail.
- Bodyguard Goose: Protect to get a bonus. If you’re between a goose and a killer, you’ll die instead.
- Birdwatcher Goose: You can see through walls, but only limitedly.
- Detective Goose: You can detect players to see if they have been killed that round.
- Mimic Goose: The ducks see you as one of their own.
Special Duck Roles
- Cannibal Duck: You can eat corpses once per game to get rid of the evidence.
- Assassin Duck: Twice per game, you can kill during a meeting by correctly guessing someone’s role. If you are wrong, you die.
- Professional Duck: Geese cannot see your corpses, but they will autoreport when near.
- Silencer Duck: You can mute a goose during the game to mute them during the next meeting.
- Morphling Duck: You can shapeshift into other players. Just be careful to not get spotted with them!
- Lover Duck: You simply must stay alive with your other lover.
- Spy Duck: Being the only person to vote for someone reveals their role.
- Warlock Duck: You can summon a mighty swarm of locusts as your sabotage!
- Serial Killer Duck: Killing your target reduces your countdown, killing anyone else increases it.
- Invisibility Duck: You can turn invisible.
- Undertaker Duck: You can drag corpses at a reduced speed.
- Ninja Duck: You can kill you ducks simultaniously, but your cooldown is tripled. You can hang out in forbidden passageways to reduce it quicker, however.
- Identity Thief Duck: You will shapeshift into your most recent victim until a meeting is called. Try not to report bodies whilst shapeshifted!
- Demolitionist Duck: You can plant bombs on other geese.
- Party Duck: During meetings, everyone has a squeaky voice.
- Snitch Duck: Being the only person to vote for someone puts them in jail.
- Hitman Duck: Kill to get a bonus.
Special Bird Roles
- Vulture: Eat corpses to win.
- Falcon: Win as the last survivor, the ducks and the geese can only win whilst you are alive.
- Dodo Bird: You must get voted out to win.
- Pelican: Win as the last survivor. You can swallow other players, but they won’t be killed until a meeting is called.
- Dueling Dodos: Get voted out after the other dodo dies to win. Doing your fake tasks allows you to kill the other dodo.
- Pigeon: Infect every other play in one round to win.
How to Unlock Cosmetics in Goose Goose Duck
If you want to stand out, then you’ll need accessories. In the main menu page, you can click on ‘collection’ to bring up the menus of everything you can buy in the game. From hats, to farts, to killing methods, you’ll never run out of things to buy.
There are two currencies in the game, Silver and Gold. Silver can be earned from games, whether a win or a loss. Gold, however, must be bought. You can earn gold from achievements, but buying gold is the intended way to earn them.
Browse the menus to find the cosmetics that you want, and you can buy them. Some items can be bought with either silver or gold, and you can decide which currency you want to use upon buying the item. When an item is bought, you can equip it.
