Not every time do you have to face a massive, building sized, monstrous boss. Sometimes dealing with the little guys can be just as unforgiving and, quite frankly, slightly annoying. One of those instances is dealing with The Hateful, an early mini-boss fight that repeats itself throughout the Draugr Pits in the game. That means you’re going to fight this guy several times along with its draugr friends. That sucks, but fortunately, we have some tips to for you to learn how to beat The Hateful in God of War Rangarök. Lets get on with it and fight the undead, and make them dead-dead.
How to Beat The Hateful
Like I said before, you’re going to encounter this guy not once or twice, but several times throughout God of War Ragnarök. And while there are several ways to approach these battles, everything comes down to the basics. You could say that The Hateful purpose is you training the meats and potatoes of fighting in God of War Ragnarök. Here are a couple of tips to beat The Hateful.
- Dodging and parrying: these are not optional. You can’t just go and throw axes, blades, punches and everything you got without being hit and killed by this guy, so make sure to time your dodges and parries.
- The arrows are your best friend: whenever you get the chance, fire arrows towards the enemy. You will gain some time, attack window and interrupt some attacks that were coming your way.
- Divide and conquer: whenever accompanied by extra draugr, be sure to separate them and kill them first before addressing The Hateful. Otherwise, you’re into a multi front battle, and that’s a big no-no.
- Resurrect from the dead: be sure to keep a resurrection stone in your possession in case of an emergency.
- Spartan Rage: deal with the draugr guards or even use it to heal. Those are two ways you’re going to triumph in The Hateful fight.
