F1 22 New Update 1.16 Includes McLaren ‘Future Mode’ livery and Elimination Event

Fresh changes.

F1 22 has released a new update with patch 1.16. Codemasters are pulling all the strings to make the title as great as the last year’s game. While the latest iteration of their Formula 1 simulation has not been a great success, the constant updates including general fixes, quality of life improvements and fresh content is a positive approach to better their latest title.

The major additions include the McLaren ‘Future Mode’ livery, which was originally a tie up with team sponsor OKX. A new time-limited Elimination event has also made its way in the game. We will include the full patch notes with all the general improvements and bug fixes.

F1 22 New Update 1.16 – Patch Notes

Codemasters have worked on fixing some crucial bugs which were not fixed in the last patch. Hopefully, the game will be much better after updating to patch 1.16.

  • Elimination limited-time event is now available
  • Fixed an issue where players and AI could receive an incorrect DSQ in the race for not using multiple tyre compounds
  • An issue where tyre compound allocation options were not visible in in-progress career saves fixed
  • Fixed an issue where players were unable to change tyre allocation in career weekends beyond the first weekend of the season
  • Replacement of Cem Bölükbasi with Tatiana Calderon to Charouz Racing System in F2 2022
  • Fixed an issue where F2 2022 vehicles were struggling to finish 50% races on Miami due to excessive fuel consumption
  • Addition of F2 2022 showroom stats and history
  • Crash on PS4 when loading into split-screen using two steering wheels fixed
  • Fixed an issue in Spectator mode where cars would be seen hitting the rev limiter
  • Fixed an issue where, on certain cars, the DRS lights on the in-game steering wheels were not lighting up when entering DRS zones
  • An issue on the Mercedes car where part of a front wing appears attached after taking damage fixed
  • Updates and adjustments to Alpine livery color
  • Fixed an issue on the Alfa Romeo car where left mirror is incorrectly mapped with the wrong material
  • Issue where Mick Schumacher would not be wearing a helmet after switching team in Career fixed
  • Various minor fixes
  • General stability improvements
