WIll your beta characters see it through to the full release?

Warhammer 40K: Darktide is the much-anticipated successor to the Vermintide series that features plenty of shooting, crushing, and smashing as you go head-to-head with the forces of chaos. Will your progress carry on?

Slaughtering and bludgeoning your way through countless missions and gaining cosmetics and upgrades may have made you very attached to your character or characters as you play and progress in the closed beta. But betas are for testing, so will everything be wiped when the game gets tweaked and fully released?

Fret not, gamers, as the developers have stated that they will ‘do everything they can’ to make sure that everyone’s progress gets carried on over to the full release. However, it is a promise of their efforts, not a promise that it will happen.

They have warned that a critical error could take place during the transition which could lead to difficulties of transition. Additionally, they have rehashed that the beta was ultimately to see how the progression in the game works, to see if they need to tweak anything or change anything.

Depending on their verdict, players may not be guaranteed a carry on of their progress, whether the devs intended for it or not.
