Do you dream of a time when factions could come together and focus on working towards a goal? According to Blizzard, that time is approaching. Eventually, factions from all over can work together instead of finding ways to tear themselves down. It looks like we will be getting cross-faction guilds during the Dragonflight 10.1 Embers of Neltharion. What’s exciting about this new development is that Blizzard has been teasing about the possibility of factions joining together for some time now. Here’s everything you need to know about cross-faction guilds in World of Warcraft and why this is a big deal.
Cross-Faction Guilds World of Warcraft
For a long time guilds were essential in World of Warcraft. The purpose of guilds were to bring communities together to host, recruit newcomers, and focus on raiding or PvP. There’s plenty of guilds out there for people to enjoy and whether you’re a casual gamer or a PvP player, there’s a guild for you. When guilds were introduced we weren’t able to have guilds from either the Horde or Alliance members join forces. Times are changing and we’re ready for cross-faction guilds to become a thing in World of Warcraft.
Of course when these guilds are able to work together they still won’t be able to do a lot of events that are only available for certain guild members. For instance you wouldn’t be able to complete quests in open world. According to a developer for World of Warcraft in June of 2022 they announced that cross-faction gameplay was introduced to Shadowlands and they were looking into developing cross-faction guilds.
Cross-Faction Guilds Release Date World of Warcraft
During the Dragonflight 10.1 Emblem of Neltharion patch we will be getting the ability to have cross-faction guilds. These gameplay mechanics will allow players to participate in new zones, raids, updated UI improvements, and will have additional story content that fans have been waiting for. The new patch will be set to release during summer where players can explore areas such as Zaralek Cavern and Neltharion’s secret laboratory.
More details will come as the game comes closer to releasing a patch. Until then, we’re looking forward to the idea of cross-faction guilds so players can set aside their differences from the opposing guilds and work together.
