Civilization 6 is free on the Epic Games Store

Last week, Epic Games announced the most prominent title yet as their free game of the week. Now, Civilization 6 is free on the Epic Games Store.

Civilization 6 will be free from today, May 21, until May 28. For those of you who aren’t aware of the Civilization series, it’s a turn-based 4X game by Firaxis Games. Civilization VI is the most recent title in the franchise and a fan favorite.

There is three different expansion for this game, including Rise and Fall and Gathering Storm. Another content update came out today by the name of The New Frontier Pass.

On May 28, the Epic Games Store will reveal another free mystery game. You will want to be paying attention to the next unveiling if it’s anything like the previous two Mystery Games. 

The Epic Games Store free game of the week event has been going on since 2019. If last week if anything to go by, the popularity of their games store is booming. After announcing GTA V, the traffic to their site caused it to go down for a good portion of the day.
