Everything to Know About CATAN Console Edition

Developed by Nomad Games, CATAN Console Edition will arrive on February 28th and be available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Pre-orders for the game begin on February 3rd. If you do pre-order, you’ll gain early access to the game on February 23rd. The game will feature online multiplayer as well as local couch multiplayer and a single-player mode. According to a press release, it seems that crossplay will also be available in the game but it’s not clear if this will be available at launch.

Another feature included in the game is smartphone integration. Players will have the ability to use their phones to track resources during a game of CATAN without having to download an app. This can be helpful as you strategize against other players or even the AI. Each of the game’s AI opponents is set to be unique and have its own strategy. You may have a hard time trading with one opponent but have an easier time trading with another. This dynamic AI is set to mirror the real-life experience of playing CATAN with other people. When the game is out on February 23rd players new and old will get to experience this digital version of the classic board game.
