Answering the question isn’t too complicated, but it may not be to your liking depending on your preferences. In Hogwarts Legacy, there is no dedicated button for putting away your wand. A bit to the contrary, after standing idle for a few moments with your wand out, your character will automatically put away your wand.

This was most likely done as to not clutter the layout of the controls, as they are fairly jam packed already. A system such as this is not uncommon for some RPGs, however some might have hoped that you could brandish your wand at the touch of a button. At the very least, the game will make sure that you’re not holding your wand in your hand at any awkward moments.
