The idea of being able to play on the go is what, in part, made me love video games as much as I do today. I remember having the original Game Boy, then the Advance, then a PS Vita (yes, I’m a member of that endangered species). What I never thought, though, was that in the future we would be able to play full-blown AAA games (no cheap adaptations or poorly made ports) in a handheld device. Fast-forward some years, and we have a console like the Nintendo Switch, and then something called a Steam Deck. With the new Dreamside Interactive game releasing, some folks wander: can you play Frozen Flame in Steam Deck? Let’s get to it.
Can you Play Frozen Flame in Steam Deck?
While there is no official response by the Dreamside Interactive team (who are apparently only two people), there are several users that have reported in the Steam forums that they have successfully run the game in their Steam Decks. There appears to be a performance issue, although I think it is related to the game not being well optimized in general. Anyway, with it being playable in Steam, the possibilities of connecting with your friends on the go are now completely limitless. An online survival ARPG? Call me sold. We just have to be sure that the developers don’t miss this chance and be able to supply us with a co-op and PvP experience that will make it worth it. They’re in the right track, let’s just hope that this delicious dish doesn’t get spoiled by anti gamer practices. Sorry, I’m hungry. I’ll be right back.
