In West Philadelphia born and raised on the playground where he spent most of his days is leaving Beverly Hills to appear in Undawn. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Will Smith is known for his appearance on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, numerous movies, and songs. Now, he’s making his way into the gaming universe and is headed into a post-apocalyptic world. Undawn is an open-world set during a time filled with peril. Journey through this infected universe, take down hordes of infected people and take Will Smith with you. Can you play as Will Smith in Undawn or is he just making an appearance?

Is Will Smith a Playable Character in Undawn?

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if Will from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air were to take part in a zombie game? We never in a million years would have thought he’d be in a video game where you needed to survive in a zombie game. Will Smith is not going to be taking on his fresh prince persona, instead, he will be playing Trey Jones, the guide of the group of survivors. Is he a playable character?

Trey Jones is a character in Undawn, but it’s unknown if you will be able to play as him. Trey will be able to navigate players to safety as they try to take down infected zombies. He will also play a hand in showing players how to control the world around them. The developers of Level Infinite had this to say about Trey Jones and his role in the team:

“During their daring adventure, players will encounter legendary survivor Trey Jones played by global movie star Will Smith. Trey will act as a guide to help other survivors navigate the world four years after the global disaster. In this new civilization, players will explore an expansive open world filled with diverse environments such as plains, mines, deserts, swamps, and abandoned cities, each with unique ecosystems and dangers. Survivors must be prepared to brave rain, heat, snow, and storms while monitoring their character’s health and well-being to stay alive against overwhelming odds.”

How to Download Undawn

If you’re looking forward to playing Trey Jones in Undawn you can now access Undawn on Steam. The game is available on PC and Mobile with no future plans on releasing it on console devices. Sorry console players, looks like we’re going to have to wait on future updates for this one. Perhaps in the future, Undawn will be released on console, however, there are no future plans where it stands right now.
