There are few things that are as ever-growing as the amount of Pokémon types in its franchise. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet present us with several new mechanics and gameplay, as well as new types, such as the Tera type. Along with it, we have the Paradox Pokémon. The specific trait of these Pokémon is that they are either Ancient (Scarlet) or Futuristic (Violet) Pokémon that are brought to the region of Paldea thanks to time travelling and secluded in Area Zero also known as the Great Crater of Paldea. They are Pokémon that are reserved for the post-game, but can you get Paradox Pokémon before post game in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet? Let’s find out.

Can You Get Paradox Pokémon Before Post Game?

I’ve never liked to be the bearer of bad news, but unfortunately, there is no way possible to get or catch the Paradox Pokémon before post game. That means that you’re going to finish the game along its story first in order to enter the Great Crater of Paldea alongside the Area Zero. And that is taking into account the several glitches and exploits that the game currently has, such as climbing mountains backwards. Anyway, you will have to keep playing until the end to discover these time travelling Pokémon.

Having said that, if you look it in another way, Koraidon and Miraidon are with you throughout your whole adventure, and they are Paradox Pokémon. So you could technically say that you can get Paradox Pokémon prematurely, albeit only one. Yes, I know that’s not the answer you were looking for, but I’m just trying seeing the bright side of things. Anyway, save those pitchforks for another time.
