Unlike in most previous Harry Potter games, you’re able to customize your character to a large extent in Hogwarts Legacy. Despite the surprisingly in-depth character creation at the beginning of the game, however, there aren’t a lot of character customization options available later on. Keep reading to find out what you can and can’t change about your character in Hogwarts Legacy, including your name!

Can You Change Your Name in Hogwarts Legacy?

Hogwarts Legacy offers surprisingly in-depth character creation. You’re able to customize nearly everything about your character’s features at the start of the game, including voice pitch, facial features, body type, and even your name! Unfortunately, once you are done creating your character at the beginning of the game, you won’t be able to change it later on (at least not much).

Changing your name, for example, isn’t something easily accomplished once you’re finished creating your character in Hogwarts Legacy; in fact, it can’t be accomplished at all. Be sure to name your character wisely, because you won’t be able to change it if you change your mind later on!

Can You Change Your Features After You’ve Created Your Character?

Although you’re tragically unable to change your name after character creation in Hogwarts Legacy, there are a select few features that can be altered after you’ve finished creating your character. For example, you’ll be able to change your character’s hair color, hairstyle, voice pitch, and complexion at any time. You won’t be able to change much else other than those few features, however.

After your character has been created, you won’t be able to change their body type, face type, skin color, markings, scars, freckles, moles, voice tone (different from voice pitch), name, or even dormitory type. So be sure to take your time when customizing your character in this game, you won’t be able to change almost anything about them later on if you change your mind!
