Can You Change Your Gender in Wild Hearts?

Gender swap

Character creation is a big deal in any game. Everyone wants to try on a different hair color or facial feature or even body type. Wild Hearts also offers a fun and very in-depth character creation at the very beginning of the game. However, say you want to change absolutely everything about your character’s look. This includes changing the presented gender or body type. It’s a bit tricky how to get to this point, but it is possible. Just keep in mind it will take a while to get there. Here’s how you can change your gender in Wild Hearts.

Changing you Gender

You can change your gender in Wild Hearts. You can also choose at the very beginning of the game as well. The character creation is less outright about gender and more about allowing you to choose your facial and body type. There are masculine and feminine options when you start. The body and facial changes you can make no matter how you start are so detailed and free that you can practically change everything about your appearance once you have to tool to do so.

That tool to change your appearance is called the Looking Glass. This is a mirror-type Karakuri object that you have to unlock from your skill tree. Once you must unlock the many prerequisites Karakuri in the tree to get to the Looking Glass slot. Once you have you have to pay 1,500 Kemono Orbs and the Looking Glass is yours. Now that you have it you can change anything about your character, not just your gender, but your name too.

You once again have full access to the character creation you did at the start of the game. Keep in mind this is probably close to the middle of the game when you will have gotten far enough on your skill tree and collected enough orbs to unlock the Looking Glass Karakuri.
