Even Dumbledore himself couldn't find a second one.

Aside from your regular classes and spell training, there’s a plethora of other activities for players to try out. These can range from flying broom time trials, to rescuing fantastic beasts from all around the wizarding world. Doing so will help increase the amount of materials you can get, since the animals provide upgrade materials. Out of all the animals available to save in the game, let’s answer the question: can you breed a Phoenix in Hogwarts Legacy?

When it comes to breeding animals, you first need to make sure you have the necessary tools. You’ll need to go ahead and complete the side quest Foal of the Dead and create a Breeding pen that costs 10 moonstones. After doing so you’re all set and ready to start breeding your beasts.

Besides the Phoenix, there are 12 other beasts that you can rescue and place in your Vivarium. Due to the nature of them in the wizarding world, you are not able to breed a Phoenix in Hogwarts Legacy. You can breed any other animals that you rescue, but due to the rarity and fact that you can only rescue one Phoenix, you can’t breed it.
