Borderlands 3 is bringing a fresh new Valentine’s Day Event to the game called Broken Hearts Day. The game will be celebrating Valentine’s Day this year with some cool rewards that can be obtained through breaking hearts. This guide will give you all the information you need to know about the event.
Borderlands 3 Broken Hearts Day Guide
Borderlands 3 Broken Hearts Day begins on February 13th and runs through February 20th, 2020. During this time, players can earn some new skins, Legendary Weapons, and other cosmetics through completing the event objectives.
From the official Borderlands page:
“Broken Hearts Day is fast approaching in the Borderlands, and Maurice, Sanctuary III’s resident sentient Saurian, is hoping you’ll assist with his ongoing study of the human condition as he turns his attention to our species’ courting rituals. You’ll be well rewarded for completing Maurice’s challenges during this new seasonal event revealed on episode five of The Borderlands Show, and don’t worry, you’re not being asked to do anything inappropriate. Simply shoot down the floating hearts that are swirling around enemies across the galaxy as you go about your regular Vault Hunter business.
The hearts take several forms and break in different ways: some will fall to the ground with a fiery explosion, while others might drop loot or briefly turn enemies into allies, for example.”
Borderlands 3 Broken Hearts Day Quests
The event is pretty straightforward and you simply need to break some hearts that you see randomly floating around enemies throughout the game. The hearts can explode and drop loot or even turn enemies into friendlies for a period of time. Maurice will mail you rewards based on how many hearts you break:
- 10 Hearts – Echocardiogram Echo Skin
- 25 Hearts – Cosmic Romance Weapon Trinket
- 50 Hearts – Terminal Polyaimorous Legendary Maliwan SMG
- 75 Hearts – Heartbreaker Vault Hunter Skin
- 100 Hearts – Wedding Invitation Legendary Jakobs Sniper Rifle
That’s all you need to know for the Borderlands 3 Broken Hearts Day Event to make the most out of it. Be sure to log in from February 13th through the 20th to take part in the event.
