Best Weapons in Jagged Alliance 3 – Tier List

Are you all about close-quarters and stealth, picking your opponents apart from afar or going in armed to the teeth to overwhelm the enemy?

As you may have already guessed for this strategy game, Jagged Alliance is all about what tactics and moves you perform during combat. With a heavy focus being shifted straight onto mobility in the third installment of Jagged Alliance, players will want to base their squad around the ability to free roam, position and find cover when faced with danger. Because of this, you may be looking for an Explosives Expert or a clinical Marksman to provide support as you make those key decisions that can make or break your game. But in deciding which Mercenaries to hire throughout your journey, you may be looking at their Equipment as an essential part of your decision making. But with the option to switch out each Merc’s weapon on the squad, this is Vincent’s guide on the best weapons to use in Jagged Alliance 3.

Jagged Alliance 3 Weapons Tier List

Whilst we can pinpoint the overall best weapons to use in Jagged Alliance 3, you also need to be aware of the best weapons to use for each Merc. For example, if you have a Sniper Rifle that requires precision and is more luck-based in its accuracy, you will preferably want a Mercenary that specialises in Marksmanship or is a Marksman as their Class such as Buns, Onryn, Raven, Blood, to name a few. Whilst you have other Classes and specific Mercs that strive with mobility and stealth kills such as Fox and Blood who may be best utilizing a melee weapon or close-quarter guns such as shotguns. The choice of weapons are not solely about their stats and efficiency in combat however and whilst this is incredibly important as there is a blatant difference between weapons and their strength, you will find that the best weapons work better for specific Mercs based on their Perks.

Keep an eye on which Perk is best for certain weapons. For example, you may want to have something as powerful as The Thing placed on a Merc with the Full Body Contact or Vanguard Perk. Whilst Sniper Rifles such as the Draganov or a buffed up Winchester from mods should be matched with Perks such as Sharpshooter or Deadeye. Keeping all this in mind, this is Gamer Journalist’s weapons Tier List for Jagged Alliance 3. All weapons listed below should not be used with their default appearance and stats, rather you will want to modify under your Squad in Satellite View. From here you can go directly into each Merc’s Equipment and select their weapon to then modify with Attachments where Parts are needed to make the appropriate changes to increase the weapon’s overall efficiency in battle.
