Best Team Arrangements in Arcadian Atlas

Knowing how and where to station your mercenaries is easily one of the most important parts of combat in Arcadian Atlas. No matter what mercenaries you have at your disposal, their strengths and abilities will mean nothing if they’re not placed strategically.

There are four main types of mercenaries in Arcadian Atlas: Cavalier, Warmancer, Ranger, and Apothecary. Having a well-rounded team made up of each of these mercenary types is great and all, but knowing exactly how to place them is essential if you want to succeed.

Here are the best mercenary types to include in your team, and the best ways to arrange them in Arcadian Atlas:

  • Tanks – Cavaliers: As in most combat-based RPGs, it’s best to have tanks stationed at the front of your team. Tanks have the highest defense and health stats out of all of the other warriors, making them the perfect shields for your squishier characters, like healers and archers. Any mercenaries in the Cavalier class should fall under the “tank” category in Arcadian Atlas.
  • Archers – Rangers and Warmancers: Ranged attackers such as Warmancers and Archers should be stationed at the back or sides of your team. They have high attack and speed stats, but their defense stats leave something to be desired, so it’s best to keep them out of the line of enemy fire while also giving them room to attack from afar. In Arcadian Atlas’s case, Rangers and Warmancers fall under the “archer” category.

  • Healers – Apothecaries and Warmancers: Your healers are arguably your most important characters in any battle. Due to their importance and low attack and defense stats, it’s best to station your healers in the back of your team or surrounded by tanks. Keeping your healers out of harm’s way should be your main priority in battles. In Arcadian Atlas, Apothecaries and Warmancers can both be categorized as “healers”.

As you likely noticed, the Warmancer class is a bit special in Arcadian Atlas, as it falls under two common RPG categories: Archer and Healer. Warmancers are ranged attackers just like Rangers, but they also have the ability to learn healing spells, like Healers. Warmancers are excellent additions to any team in Arcadian Atlas, as long as you make sure to armor them up before battle!

While having a predefined team arrangement is helpful, it’s also essential to adapt to the challenges presented by each battle. Some enemies may be resistant to certain types of attacks, making it necessary to adjust your strategy on the fly. Experiment with different combinations of characters and abilities to find out what works best for each situation!
