When it comes to choosing your second magic later down the line, you’d better be careful to avoid bad combos. Here are the best and worst synergies for Poison magic in Arcane Odyssey.
Best Combo for Poison Magic in Arcane Odyssey
In Arcane Odyssey, Poison is a magic that doesn’t have a huge selection of synergies, unlike other magics. But that’s not to say it doesn’t set up other magics well. Poison magic attacks are buffed by 25% if the target is bleeding. The bleeding status effect is caused by Glass magic and Metal magic, and also by non-magical weapons. It would be wise to use either Glass or Metal (preferably Metal) if you have Poison Magic to buff your attacks considerably.
All Poison magic attacks poison the target, meaning they slowly drain life. Poisoned target receive 25% increased damage from Fire magic, and 10% increased damage from Acid, Magma and Plasma magic attacks. This means that you can use your Poison magic to help Fire magic considerably.
So, overall, Metal and Fire magics pair best with Poison magic, as there is a buff of 25% for one of the magics either way.

Worst Combos for Poison Magic in Arcane Odyssey
Poison doesn’t work well with some magic types, however, and there are some to avoid. Poison attacks deal 10% less damage against targets with the burning effect, which is caused by Fire magic. You may be confused having read above that Fire magic is a good combo. To clarify, Poison magic and Fire magic is good, but Fire magic and Poison magic is bad. As long as you use Poison attacks first Fire attacks second, you’ll receive the buff. Use your magics the other way around, and you’ll suffer damage penalties.
Additionally, Poison magic attacks get their damage reduced by 90% if your target is Frozen. Absolutely do not select Ice or Snow magic as your second magic.
Additionally, Wing magic is one to avoid, as Wind magic damage is reduced by 10% on poisoned targets, and Wind magic actually clears away the poisoned status effect. Avoid Wind Magic.
