Best Loadout in XDefiant Beta

Killstreak made easy with this Loadout

In all Free-to-Play FPS Games there is a lot of care and alterations put into work when crafting the perfect weapon. From Call of Duty to Apex Legends, the weapons in these games see repeated changes, typically in the form of nerfs. XDefiant will likely become another name added to this list of FPS Games that need to regularly change their weapons based on either the playerbase’s ask or to try and create an unachievable balance in the game’s overall state of play. But with all FPS Games, something has to be at the top of the game and unsurprisingly a weapon has already been named the meta in XDefiant. This is our guide on the best XDefiant Loadout to use in this Free-to-Play Arena Game.

What is THE Loadout to Use in XDefiant?

It is to no one’s surprise that the meta has already been discovered as of XDefiant’s BETA release in April, 2023. Of course, this article will likely change with the full release of the game but for now, there is only one real weapon to use in XDefiant. This weapon of course is the ACR 6.8. With the Attachments of a Barrel Extender (Muzzle), Rapid Fire (Barrel) – Vertical (Front Rail), Reflex (Optic) and Removed (Stock), you will be an unstoppable force regardless of whether you are playing Arena or Linear.

The Pros of the ACR 6.8

The ACR 6.8 is a highly adaptable weapon and one that will punish anyone who tries to shoot you first. It can be used in the hands of the Echeleon or Phantom, being two very different playstyles of offense and defence. But where its true power lies is within its mobility. For many players trying XDefiant out for the first time, they most likely have come from Call of Duty. With this in mind, the ACR can be used when jumpshotting and strafing. Its recoil is incredibly easy to manage and with it being Stockless you can fly around the map gaining the upper hand and push your opposition first.

This weapon has an incredibly fast time to kill, regardless of where you are hitting the opposition’s body. Of course, you should be aiming for the chest and higher but the ACR is forgiving and gracious enough for you to be able to take out 2 enemies with just its default magazine. If all of your bullets hit in the chest, you should be able to take an enemy out with 5 bullets. With its 30 round mag, the ACR is ridiculously overpowered in XDefiant.

The Cons of the ACR 6.8

You need to keep in mind that whilst the weapon is great, the tides can turn incredibly fast in this game. With the Modes being all about capturing an objective, never overextend in a fight or get too kill hungry. You can achieve your Killstreak by playing point and ambushing enemies in their spawn only at the appropriate times. This gun is incredibly fun and easy to use but can cause tunnel vision, especially for my controller players out there.

Of course the downfall of the meta is that everyone is using it. Whilst this weapon has a greater damage output and adaptability than others, with everyone using this weapon, you all end up on an equal playing field. This is great for some but it is where the gifted shine. The ones that live and breathe FPS Games that always come out on top. Be ready for this weapon to appear everywhere in ACR 6.8 as your next match you hop into could see this as the only XDefiant Loadout being used.
