Hilarious Bugs after Overwatch 2 Fails to Launch

The amount of memes and bugs that were flooding Twitter was hilarious. People were either laughing at how bad it was or they were seriously raging because they couldn’t get in. Overwatch 2 launch was a complete fail. It was a fail trying to get into a queue. It was a fail going into another queue just to merge your account to unlock all your characters. Lastly, it was a fail adding your phone number for players who didn’t have a phone plan that met Blizzard’s ridiculous standards. We have compiled a list of the top Overwatch 2 bugs and memes after the game failed during launch.

1. Where’s your gun?

Ashe, um, your gun is supposed to be in your hand. Where is it located exactly? Overwatch 2 has been having some hilarious glitches in the game. Whether it be your gun isn’t being held correctly or you’re noticing some clipping while playing, it’s always hilarious when we see it in action. Obviously, Ashe isn’t supposed to be wielding her gun in this area. Let’s look at some good news at least. This player was able to have their Ashe with skins, whereas most people are still waiting in a queue to get ahold of their locked characters.

2. We can’t see

We thought maybe we were looking at something where we were looking at someone’s POV if they don’t put their glasses on while playing. This is what they see. No, we were wrong. This is an actual glitch occurring in the game. The weirdest bug happened where you get this blurred effect and you can’t see anything. It most definitely makes you question if you need glasses or not. Would you play Overwatch 2 this way? Probably not.

3. Grand Opening

Just like the greedy Mr. Krabs is with his money, Blizzard created a game that’s exactly like the other, but added a fancy 2 to make it seem as if you’re getting something different. Honestly, players will notice the main difference would be the battle pass they implemented. There are characters wearing slightly altered clothes different from the original but it’s hardly noticeable. The grand launch of Overwatch 2 was a huge disappointment. Same with The Krusty Krab opening a second restaurant. He did it for the money. Hey, at least he was honest.

4. Broken Servers

If you tried hopping into a game during the Overwatch 2 Launch you are probably the thousand upon thousand of players who had to wait in a queue. Some players were in a queue of over 50,000 other players and the minute they got through that queue they had to wait in ANOTHER one. The second queue was to connect you to your battle net account and add in your phone number. If you didn’t put that phone number in you’d be placed back into a queue and you’d have to start the process all over. Blizzard warned us via Twitter that they were experiencing problems, as well as, a DDOS attack. At least they’re communicating with us.

5. Traffic Jam

This is exactly what it felt like hopping into the queue. It felt as if you were waiting in a never ending line. Some players reported just keeping the game running for hours and still not being able to play. Another queue had involved merging your account so you could grab the characters you had already unlocked if you were a veteran. That queue could go on all hours of the night. Imagine sitting in a car in a traffic jam as colossal as Overwatch 2? It would be unbearable.

6. System Malfunction

It was both shocking and hilarious trying to play a match in Overwatch 2. You would think the developers hadn’t been working on Overwatch for years. It was a mess. Trying to get into a queue just to play the game took forever. Fans were voicing their opinions on Twitter claiming the developers and programmers knew how many people would be expected to join the servers. Why didn’t they just alter it so people could get in faster? Blizzard claimed they had a DDOS attack and that probably was the reason behind it. Thankfully, the only good that came out of this, was the incredible memes we got.

7. This Ain’t it

Is Overwatch 2 better than the original? Honestly, no, it doesn’t compare. The heart and soul of the original is gone. Battle passes require you to grind for characters, skins, and other assorted items which makes it not fun anymore. Imagine being a new player and having to grind just to unlock a skin you really, really want? Obviously, you’re going to go with the pay option because grinding for a skin just doesn’t seem worth it. Is the overall gameplay fun? Of course, it’s fun. It’s Overwatch. There’s nothing new about the gameplay. If you’re trying to kill time, sure, play the game.

8. Clown

Need we say more? Can you believe there were some hopeful players out there who thought they wouldn’t be the unlucky person to wait in the queue? It’s sad knowing that their fate was going to fall into despair. There were also players who thought they’d be getting their characters, skins, and emotes back if they played for a certain amount of time. No, no, honey. You needed to wait hours before your account could merge properly. That’s only what some people said they did. There are still players out there who haven’t gotten their stuff back and need extra help getting them. Let’s play our smallest violin for the many people who didn’t get their characters.

9. RIP

Imagine being a Bastion or Torbjörn main, going through the game, and your ultimate fails you. Well, it fails the other players because your main is now OP. An ultimate that usually only lasts up to three times for a few seconds is now available as many times as the player wants. This means Bastion can fire his ultimate over-and-over and become a force to be reckoned with. This is more of a positive bug since the player playing the main will become powerful, but still, it’s a bug that required both characters to be removed from the game.

10. RETRYING…CONNECTION FAILED

Lagging, graphic clipping, controller settings affected, login bugs, server clogged, and characters locked? Did we miss anything? As depressing as this meme is, the accuracy, is top-tier. Lucky players were able to get into the game after just an hour of waiting. There were other players who had to wait a little longer. Us? Well, we kept getting error signs and we didn’t get into a queue until the next day. Eventually, the bug or whatever this was finally was fixed and now players have the opportunity to play the game…Hopefully with their unlocked character.

We love poking fun at the failure of this launch. With all launches, there are bound to be some problems. Hopefully, Blizzard can fix the issues and we can go back to playing the mains we love to play. If you want to check out everything about Overwatch 2, we’re covering them!
