Top Classes in Ravenswatch

We took a couple of elements into account when choosing the best classes in Ravenswatch – How easy the class is to master/play, how versatile is the class, and how well it performs vs both mobs and bosses.

Here is our list of best classes and the breakdown of our choices:

3. Beowulf

Beowulf is the classic barbarian-like class that is easy to master and a really reliable solution for every player that wants to experience the depths of Ravenswatch without losing too much time on getting to know class details.

He is a front-line tanky warrior that has a great shield ability you can utilize any time you are out of CDs and need to keep your head on your shoulders. Shield keeps you safe from any incoming damage as long as you keep it pointed in the right direction and don’t get outflanked.

Beowulf’s powerful sword isn’t just for slashing. By using your dragon companion you can literally fire up your attack and boost your AoE damage to the minions surrounding you. The fire is also a great source of DoT damage so by carefully utilizing both AoE and DoT skills you can inflict great damage on large groups of enemies.

If you’re playing in a team try to draw fire to yourself as you are not a squishy class that can easily get stomped. Also, look for any disables that your teammates used on enemies surrounding you and focus on those weakened monsters first. Beowulf is fairly decent against bosses but performs much better when he has a DPS-focused teammate that can shoot high-damage attacks while he picks up the heat.

2. Scarlet

The Scarlet class adds a pretty interesting spin to what many players might recognize as a rogue/demon hunter class. The Little Red Riding Hood as it’s been nicknamed has an array of acrobatic attacks, quick forward dashes and grenade AoE spells that put you in a situation where you need to maneuver around your enemies and avoid getting hit. Get in, nuke them, and get out is the name of the game here.

Even though a couple of enemies experience changes in their skills when it’s nighttime, Scarlet’s update is certainly the biggest one. As soon as the last second of the day expires she turns into a Werewolf (Big Bad Wolf?) which gives her the toughness to tank some attacks but also reduces her agility. Werewolf also has some aggressive attacks and life-steal abilities that let him survive for a long time in close-quarters combat (as long as he’s killing units).

At first glance, the feature that shapeshifts your character without your will can sound bad but due to the richness of movesets that this character has it really doesn’t matter. You get two sets of unique skills with both transformations so you’ll never get bored.

We advise using the Red Riding Hood shape for bosses and strong single-target enemies while using the Werewolf when you need to clear out groups of enemies quickly, like in Grimoire arenas.

1. Pied Piper

Pied Piper is a crossover between a bard and a Necromancer. He simultaneously uses his music and his fearful army of rats to damage enemies and farm large masses of monsters. However, since he isn’t focused on boosting others with auras, we would say that he is more of a Necromancer in a nice suit.

Your rat army will spawn regularly (you can have a maximum of 20) and upon sending them to your enemy you will excel if you combine them with your AoE slow and weakening abilities and your notes that do great damage bursts. The goal is that you never go really into the enemy’s face while you are at the same time staying pretty close so that your ranged attacks can reach them. It will take some time to master this strategy but when you do you will be one of the most powerful characters in your team.

If you team up with a great Beowulf you can definitely take down any boss and any group of enemies.
