Best Choices for Face of the Franchise: Style of Play

As you progress through the early stages of your Face of the Franchise career, you will face decisions that will affect your play style on the field. For example, a reporter may ask you after a game, “Who do you model your game after most?” You might have options like Tom Brady, Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes, and Russell Wilson.

Depending on the type of QB you want to be (or if you are thinking of switching to RB/WR later), small decisions like these can matter immensely. If you are committed to the QB position and are looking for a strong arm and accurate throwing motion, you will likely go with Mahomes or Brady. But if you are thinking of maybe switching to RB/WR later on in your career, maybe you consider modeling yourself after a mobile QB like Lamar Jackson or Russell Wilson.

You will also face media questions that revolve around your 1st and 2nd abilities. These will be vital at first to create a more diverse playing experience. Though worry not if you find they don’t suit your play style, as you can always change them later on.

Picking an NFL Madden 21 Team: Favorite Team or Fate?

While you can choose schools in college, the NFL draft works a little differently. Besides your performance at the combine, during the pre-draft press conference, your player will be asked if you have any wishes about where you would like to land. This is where you will have the opportunity to choose between randomizing your draft pick or forcing your favorite team to take you.

If you choose to leave it up to the football gods to decide where it is that you will land, where you get drafted will depend entirely on how you played in college. You could be picked as high as a top 1st rounder or fall into the later rounds. If you’re someone who likes to take chances, and you don’t care to play for your favorite team, roll the dice and see where you land. However, if you’re the more predictable type that wants a stable and reliable environ, go with your favorite team and lead them to NFL glory!
