Best 5 Weapons in Ultrakill

Top tier arsenal for maximum carnage

Over the top in every way, Ultrakill is a blast from start to finish. Providing ample carnage, enemies, and bloodshed, the game harkens back to old shareware shooters in all the best ways. At times punishingly difficult, its only fair that the game gives players a truly devastating arsenal to wreck havoc with. Useable in various situations, these guns and their upgrades offer several ways to attack and defeat bosses and opponents alike. Excluding the various arms V1 can equip, we’ll be going over the five weapons offered and which are the best.

#1 – Revolver

For those who are already familiar with the game, you know why the revolver is on top of the list. The base weapon is nothing too spectacular. But it’s the upgrades that make this gun top tier. Once players unlock the Marksman Variant, that’s where the real fun begins. Flipping a coin in the air, V1 can shoot the coin and it will auto track to the nearest enemy with enhanced damage versus a normal shot from the revolver. And that’s just the beginning of what players can do. Tossing a coin, then swapping to another weapon for even more damage potential is a viable tactic for hard to hit enemies, aside from V2. And yes, you can punch the coins.

#2 – Nailgun

Up next is the Nailgun. The Attractor variant is great for single target damage. Simply fire your barrage, and the alternate fire will spew more nails that are magnetized to already shot magnets, no aiming required. Plus this also attracts Freezeframe rockets. The Overheat variant takes the already fast fire rate and amps it up even higher, spewing out even more nails and making them catch on fire.

#3 – Shotgun

A tried classic on the list is the shotgun. Perfect for close quarters combat, it deals great damage at the cost of being up close and personal. The Pump Charge variant allows players to pump multiple times to increase the pellet count. Yes it plays out as ridiculous as it sounds, and of course you can punch it to further increase damage. However pumping it three times will cause an explosion with knockback, dealing fifty damage to the player. The Core Eject variant will fire out the weapon’s core over long distances, adding some range gameplay to this weapon.

#4 – Rocket Launcher

While being able to deal some good damage, the weapon also has the problem of only doing damage on direct hits. Freezeframe rockets stop midair as long as the timer is going, this also allows for rocket surfing and setting up traps for foes. And the S.R.S canon, while not in game, fires cannonballs that go over long ranges.

#5 – Railcannon

Last on the list is the railcannon, due to its flexibility in use at a cost. The Electric variant can be fired with coins to deal more damage, and the beam pierces trough all enemies. If the Nailgun was used beforehand, the Electric burst from this weapon will make all nails explode in an enemy. Meanwhile the Screwdriver variant causes targets to bleed, meaning free heals for you. Perfect for when running low on life and need a quick boost in health. With so much compatibly with other weapons and tactics, what makes this last on the list? Two reasons, there is a sixteen second cooldown no matter what form you use the railgun in, and there is no alternate fire method other than zooming in to get a closer look at enemies.
