It can be easy getting confused at how much the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game has expanded. I suppose you could say that I never really learned how to play when I was a kid. I was more focused on the colorful monsters and the collectathon aspects. But, once you take a moment to learn the game’s mechanics, you’ll find there’s much more to it than we could’ve known as kids.

So, let’s unravel the Yu-Gi-Oh! Monster Types. As of writing, there are 24 different Monster Types that can change the most effective strategies in any given game. Here’s a full list of each Monster Type, as well as some examples of cards you’ll find in each.
