All Weapons in Midnight Ghost Hunt

Forget the Bible and Sage, get out the Sawed Shotgun

Growing up on YouTube, I had my hands dipping into a whole load of different jars. From British YouTubers doing obnoxious challenges, to American YouTubers trolling on Call of Duty and Garry’s Mod. Prop Hunt has managed to outlive the cult classic of Garry’s Mod. Whilst that game has truly been left behind by YouTube and its Creators, many attempts have been made to revitalize the Prop Hunt Mode. From Apex Legends Mods to an Early Access Multiplayer Ghost Hunt game with a permanent Prop Hunt Mode being the primary reason to buy. If you are looking for a game to vibe with your friends on, or take part in a less intense Infected Mode (COD) by playing as props instead of campers, then Midnight Ghost Hunt may be the one for you. Be a poltergeist capable of embodying objects to manipulate and bend to their will, all with the sole purpose to hide in plain sight. Or be the Ghost Hunter, equipped with weaponry to banish those Ghosts for good. This is Vincent’s guide on all weapons in Midnight Ghost Hunt.

Weapons List in Midnight Ghost Hunt

You may have thought that a Prop Hunt Ghost Hunting game would not really give a damn about the weaponry available to arm the Ghost Hunters. Whether you are trying to put an end to the haunting by banishing the Ghosts for good, or trying to torment your Ghost Hunting friends by blending into the environment whilst taunting their every move, Midnight Ghost Hunt offers different weaponry to keep yourself entertained and a step ahead from the murderous Ghosts at the scene. From Melee Weapons to keep anyone from getting too close, to Long-Ranged Weapons crafted with precision or full blown attacks from all angles to torch anything surrounding you.

Ghost Hunters must unite and defend themselves against the Ghosts. This may be a hide-and-seek game, but it has a deadly twist. The Ghosts will fight back using the environment against you. Not a single object in sight is safe. In Midnight Ghost Hunt, there are currently 10 weapons available for Ghost Hunters (Seekers) to use. These are:

  • Sledgehammer (Melee) – An easy way to destroy props with a single hit. However, it will not prove useful against taking Ghosts down.
  • Ghostmasher (Melee) – Bad at breaking down props, however it deals a ton of damage against the Ghosts.
  • Riot Shield (Melee) – A protective barrier against the Ghosts’ powers. You may need this if you are looking to play on the defence. However as a Hunter, we recommend opting for offensive pushes, whilst staying with your team as a united front against any incoming attacks.
  • Spectral Cannon – Great all-round weapon in Midnight Ghost Hunt. However its slower firing rate and reload makes it better for prop searching rather than taking down any Ghosts that are on the prowl.
  • Salt Shotgun – Deals decent damage against any Ghosts but only within a close range. Best used against any Ghosts that get too close mid-attack. You should not chase after Ghosts regardless of however low they get as being separated from the group will be detrimental towards winning the game.
  • Flamethrower – A wide-ranged attack that allows you to hit multiple targets at once. Best used for checking props to see if they are haunted. Not good as a weapon to use when the Ghosts start attacking.
  • Frostbite – Slows down Ghosts by freezing them. Best used in combination with other Long-Ranged Weapons used by your fellow Ghost Hunters. Not a good gun to use if you are playing away from the team as you will not be able to act after slowing the enemy down.
  • Reaper – One of the highest damage weapons in Midnight Ghost Hunt. However, it requires patience and precision. If Ghosts learn you are rocking this, they will avoid your gaze and learn how to manoeuvre around its slow fire rate.
  • Project X – Another powerful weapon in Midnight Ghost Hunt. With a slower firing rate than others, the Project X shoots projectiles that can easily banish Ghosts if you are accurate enough. Best used with a teammate that can cover you as you move in to clear the area.
  • Harpoon Bazooka – Sends out a harpoon that sticks to Ghosts, dealing damage over time. It can also hook the Ghost towards you, similar to Roadhog in Overwatch. Best used in combination with Project X and Frostbite.

Whilst the team over at Vaulted Sky Games are looking to continuously improve the gameplay whilst also adding new content into the mix, for now these are the 10 weapons available to use in Midnight Ghost Hunt.
