Games are going to have haters. Every game that ever existed has had a divide between fans and haters. Hogwarts Legacy is a beautiful game that features new characters you will learn to love, powerful spells you’ll learn to take down enemies, and plenty of gear to keep you satisfied as you’re changing out of your clothes and into something new. With all there is to offer in the game it’s strange to think that there are some problems that exist. We’ve ventured through the internet and have found some things in the game that players aren’t too happy about. Here are all the things players dislike about Hogwarts Legacy.
What Players Hate in Hogwarts Legacy
Do you have issues with lack of representation? What about how the classroom’s are structured? Do you wish the game was a lot more like the video game Bully? Whether you’re a huge fan of the Harry Potter franchise, or you’re just getting started, there’s tons of content in Hogwarts Legacy that will bring in new fans. Now that the game is out on all platforms such as PS5, Xbox X/S, and PC it’s time to figure out what needs to be improved in the game and why players aren’t too happy with it. Here’s what players hate in Hogwarts Legacy.
1. Lack of NPC Interactions
Players who were invested in older Harry Potter games loved that you could interact with NPC’s more than in Hogwarts Legacy. In older Harry Potter titles you could levitate class mates and they would provide you with a bit more dialogue. The characters in Hogwarts Legacy have great dialogue when you’re doing quests for them, but other than that, they’re kind of stiff. They just want more out of them.
2. Morality System?
What happens when you go into the Forbidden Forest at night? Nothing. What happens if you break into a shop? Nothing. Do you get in trouble when you go into a house that’s not yours? Of course not. There’s no morality system in the game. After doing some side quests we’ve realized that if you say something naughty or do something mean to another student you get nothing. In potions class you can help a student by stealing ingredients. Sure, we got scolded, but that was it. No detention.
3. Lack of Relationships
Are you bummed you couldn’t date Sebastian? What about dating just in general? That doesn’t exist in Hogwarts Legacy. It makes no sense that students can’t just go on casual dates to drink some Butter Beer. We like that we can actually go to shops and drink or eat but it doesn’t really do much. Why can’t we make friends with the NPC’s and take them out to increase relationships? Do we just have no friends or romance? We want to date Sebastian. Is that too much to ask?
4. Hogwarts Map is Confusing AF
We’re not gonna lie. Even if we’ve played the game for some time we still get lost trying to navigate. We get it that the map of Hogwarts has many spiral staircases and getting lost is part of the immersion, but after awhile, we should be able to get from point A to point B without having to use the map as much. Thank you for fast travel because if that didn’t exist we’d probably throw our controller at the screen. The map should have been designed to navigate easily. That’s just our opinions.
5. No Quidditch
None, no Quidditch. Absolutely nothing. You can’t play Quidditch and that’s what many players wanted. A chance to play Quidditch. We don’t want to play the other games that involve levitating a ball to get points. That was just a headache. We want to play Quidditch and climb ranks so we can become captain. Perhaps this will be the perfect opportunity for Avalanche Software to create DLC that features a story line that allows players to join Quidditch tournaments?
