The beat ’em up, Midnight Fight Express gives players a near-endless toolbox of weapons and Skills to use against the various in-game enemies. The game’s developer, Jacob Dzwindel did a great job at making gameplay in this title deep, and the Skills specifically can be thanked for that. Today, we’ll lay out each and every available Skill in Midnight Fight Express so that you know which ones are the ones you’re going to want to aim for, depending on your playstyle.

In short, it’s important to note that Skills can be unlocked with Skill Points which are doled out at various times throughout the game. Each Skill requires a single Skill Point to buy and many have a level requirement before you’re able to purchase it. There are 40 in total with each one fitting into a specific category of combat. So, without further ado, let’s check them out!

Fighter

  • Combos – Combine light and heavy attacks to perform more powerful combos.
  • Long Range Attacks – Attack your enemies from further distances.
  • Slide – Slide on the ground to knock back any enemies in your way.
  • Kick Big Items – Kick environmental items at enemies.
  • Heavy Roll Uppercut – Perform a powerful uppercut attack coming out of a roll.
  • Chain Throw – Throw an enemy in any direction after a few hits.
  • Crotch Stun – Break enemy block using a powerful kick in the groin.
  • Powerful Ground Attack – Perform a powerful ground attack to damage all enemies around you.
  • Heavy Charge – A running charge move that sends enemies stumbling backwards.

Parry & Counter

  • Parry and Counter – Parry and counter enemy attacks.
  • Kick Counters – Parry and counter enemy attacks with kicks.
  • Knockout Counters – Parry and counter enemy attacks with knockdowns.
  • Parry Weapons – Parry melee weapon attacks even when unarmed.
  • Disarm Counters – Parry melee weapon attacks to fast disarm them.
  • Takeover Counters – Parry melee weapon attacks to disarm enemies and take their weapons.

Finishers

  • Chain Finisher – Follow up chain strikes with a powerful finishing move.
  • Environmental Finisher – Finish enemies against walls, over railings, and certain environmental objects.
  • Unarmed Finishers – Finish enemies using unarmed attacks.
  • Weapon Finishers – Finish enemies using melee weapons.
  • Gun Finishers – Finish enemies using guns.
  • Ground Finishers – Finish enemies that are laying on the ground.

Grapple

  • Grab Enemy – Grapple close enemies.
  • Ground Slam – Slam enemies on the ground.
  • Grapple Finisher – Perform a finisher on enemies with low health.
  • Grapple Throw – Drag enemies around and throw them in any direction.
  • Mount Attack – Get on your enemies and perform a powerful series of punches.
  • Disarm Weapon – Disarm enemies and take their weapons.
  • Environmental Kill – Drag enemies around and finish them off using the environment.

Rope

  • Rope Grab – Use the rope gun to pull enemies towards you.
  • Rope Disarm – Use the rope gun to disarm distant enemies and take their weapons.
  • Rope Electrocute – Use the rope fun to electrocute enemies.
  • Rope Spin – Use the rope gun to bind enemies and spin them around.
  • Rope Knockout – Use the rope gun to pull an enemy towards you and perform a powerful knockout attack.
  • Rope Jump Attack – Use the rope gun to bind an enemy and perform a powerful jump attack towards them.

Secondary Gun

  • Magnum Bullet – Shoot standard magnum bullets.
  • Electrified Bullet – Shoot bullets that electrocute enemies.
  • Power Wave Bullet – Shoot a powerful energy wave that knocks down multiple enemies.
  • Binding Bullet – Shoot bullets that temporarily immobilize enemies.
  • Hypnotize Bullet – Shoot bullets that hypnotize enemies into temporarily fighting alongside you.
  • Dart Mines – Shoot darts that stick and explode after a few seconds.
