All Playable Characters in Them’s Fightin’ Herds

In Them’s Fightin’ Herds, there are seven playable characters with unique identities and abilities. But, based on the announcement that an eighth character will be added in the season pass, it’s clear that Mane6 isn’t opposed to expanding the roster over time. Here are all the quadruped characters you can play as now, as well as one you’ll be able to play as soon!

All Playable Characters in Them’s Fightin’ Herds

As stated, there are seven characters available in the game as of release. These characters are:

Them's Fightin' Herds Arizona

Arizona: A small calf with big dreams. She becomes the “Champ’een of the Prairie” after the rest of her clan refuses the call to action. Others tend to look down on and doubt her abilities, but there might be more to Arizona than meets the eye.

  • Playstyle: Rushdown, Grounded
  • Difficulty: Easy

Velvet: An arrogant, snooty deer with the power to back it up. Velvet resides in Reine City, where she’s known as the “Champion of the Tundra,” a title she takes very seriously.

  • Playstyle: Zoner
  • Difficulty: Medium

Oleander: A unicorn who’s made a pact with a demon in an effort to fulfill her destiny. Oleander is the mysterious “Champion of the Woodlands,” where she seeks to prove the usefulness of dark magic.

  • Playstyle: All-Rounder
  • Difficulty: Medium

Paprika: An alpaca who resides in the Huacaya Mountains. Paprika is an eccentric character, but she is still considered “Champion of the Highlands,” a title she uses to spread love and affection wherever she goes.

  • Playstyle: All-Rounder, Tricky
  • Difficulty: Medium

Pom: A sheeple who has found herself appointed the “Champion of the Meadow” despite her better judgment. In battle, she uses an assortment of Sheep Dogs, who are the only predators who seek to protect, rather than harm, sheep.

  • Playstyle: Puppet, Summoning
  • Difficulty: Hard

Tianhuo: A Longma — half dragon, half horse — who resides in the Huoshan Empire. Tianhuo is the Captain of the Guard for the Huoshan Empress, which made her an instant pick for “Champion of the Volcano.” But, despite her enthusiasm, she is half-predator, so that may pose a problem later on …

  • Playstyle: Rushdown, Aerial
  • Difficulty: Easy

Shanty: An orphaned goat who was raised to be a pirate! In order to fulfill her training, she’s ready to pull off the biggest heist of them all — getting her hands on the Prophet’s Key!

  • Playstyle: Rushdown, Runstop
  • Difficulty: Hard

Texas: Arizona’s dad, and the head bull and cow of their clan. Texas is the first of four new characters who will be available as part of the Them’s Fightin’ Herds season pass. It’s not clear what kind of character Texas will be as of writing, but according to the development team, he will be a “true grappler.”
