All Playable Characters in Disney Illusion Island

Sadly, you wont be able to play as Pete

Developers Dlala Studios have partnered with Disney Electronic Content to release Disney Illusion Island. The game centers around the Fabulous Four, a classic roundup of Mickey and friends, on their journey to explore the island of Monoth. Along the way, you’re tasked with finding three magical tomes that will restore balance to the island. Gameplay wise, consider it a mix between a metroidvania style game and Rayman Legends. With it supporting up to 4 player couch co-op, friends and family alike can join in on the fun. And speaking of players, each person will get the chance to play as their very own character. So let’s dive right in and take a look at all playable characters in Disney Illusion Island.

Once players have started up the game and pressed past the save file screen, you’ll get the chance to assign your characters. You have the choice of picking between: Micky Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy. From there, players also have the choice of choosing how many health points they want from 1-3. And as of writing this article, it seems that those are all our options for character selection in Illusion Island. It seems as of now no secret/unlockable characters are present in the game, which shouldn’t come as a surprise. Mostly due to the fact that this game is made with younger children as the target audience.

It would go without saying, but younger gamers (and people in general) tend to bounce around from game to game. As such it seems the developers opted to create a more linear game experience. With the majority of the game, collectibles included, able to be completed in around 6 hours. This makes for a bite-sized experience, which is perfect for those of us with shorter attention spans. If you do decide to player with other people, each character can only be selected once. So if you want to play as the best character, Goofy, you’ll need to be quick on the draw.
