Open world RPGs are a synonym of time investment, huge online communities, online multiplayer and of course, huge amounts of resources and collectables. Tower of Fantasy is not the exception. With a lot of resources to collect, sometimes it can get a little bit overwhelming (specially if you consider yourself a completionist like me, and Jirard Khalil). Some of the many (and I mean many) resources one can collect in Tower of Fantasy are the Password Chests, a resource that, by the way, usually respawns and can be a great source for awesome items. With them all over the digital world, here you will find all Password Chest locations in Tower of Fantasy.
All Password Chest Locations in Tower of Fantasy
One of the ways to get valuable and rare items in Tower of Fantasy is through finding and opening Password Chests. Each chest is classified as a Password Chest I, Password Chest II or an Advanced Password Chest.
Opening Password Chests
In order to open each chest, you will need a certain type of item called a Type Chip. And yes, a Type I Chip opens a Password Chest I, a Type II Chip opens a Password Chest II, and a Type III Chip opens a Password Chest III. This is called a Perfect Decipher. You will expend your Type Chips to open Password Chests. However, using Type Chips is optional, because you can also perform a Forced Decipher which will basically pry-open a chest, sacrificing the rare item yield. You can always collect Type Chips through Bounty or Activity Missions.

Ok, just kidding. It sucks. Well, not really. I think you could make it work if you try enough, but it is far from ideal. For that reason, I took the liberty to research some resources online that could help you get to the specific location of the Password Chests. So I came up with two interactive maps that you can use right now. One is from Appsample and the other one is from InteractiveMap. This will be super beneficial for your playthrough. You will be able to locate every other resource necessary to be the Resource King of Aesperia (it’s not an official title, sorry guys).
Password Chest Location Rules
There are a couple of rules you can learn in order to check certain locations without using any map. Password Chests I are commonly found in enemy strongholds and near the landscape’s edges. Password Chests II are uncommonly found in large strongholds, on top of structures and on obscure locations. Finally, Advanced Password Chests are located next to World Bosses. They can only be opened when the World Bosses themselves are defeated.
