The fantastical world of Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds is contained within a virtual reality MMO known as “Soul Divers.” As it turns out, though, the world within Soul Divers isn’t actually a fabrication, but an actual fantasy world, full of real people and real danger.
It’s a massive and lush land with a variety of landscapes and cultures, and you’ll get to explore all of them. Here’s a list of the locations in Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds.
All Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds Maps & Locations
As of Ni No Kuni: Cross World’s initial launch, the game world is made up of 12 different regions. Each of these areas has its own particular topography, as well as treasures to uncover and monsters to defeat. Here’s a list of the 12 areas, plus a general summary of what they’re like:
- Eastern Heartlands: A grassy and hilly forest dotted with the remnants of ancient civilizations
- Southern Heartlands: Similar topography to the Eastern Heartlands, but a bit woodier and painted in autumn colors
- Golden Grove: A thriving melting pot of natural life, including swamps, rivers, and forests, all teeming with gigantic plant life
- Serene Forest: A mysterious, shaded forest full of luminescent mushrooms and shimmering ponds
- Allegra Plateau: A dry, craggy mesa covered in tall, jagged mountains
- Cloudcoil Canyon: A sandy, windy plain where tough-trunked plants have taken root
- Winter Wonderland: A shining white countryside where snow always falls gently from above
- Glittering Grotto: A series of rocky caverns and overhangs where the technologically curious have established a steam-powered city
- Burning Desert: A harsh desert landscape covered in a perpetual heat haze, where the only respite is the occasional oasis
- Witch’s Woods: Whimsical villages steeped in an air of magic and mischief located near large deposits of shimmering gemstones
- Woebegone Wilds: A sprawling canyon bookened by rushing waterfalls and the heat of volcanic stone
- Rainbow Valley: A rainy, coastside city built atop a sizable automated mining operation
Provided you can hold your own against the local monster populations, these locations are yours to explore. Take a good look around and keep a camera handy; you never know what fantastic sight you’ll see next.
