Lock and Dial Combinations and Locations

  • Toolbox lock combination – 5373 (obtain the Screwdriver) This combination is currently bugged. The code should be 4262 as shown in a note but every number is 1 higher than it should be.
  • Closet lock combination – 5291 (obtain the Radar)
  • Bunker combination – 9751 (access to the Bunker)

Where to find the Hex Key to Pick Locks

  1. Steal the Butcher’s Key by sneaking up behind him and taking it off his person.
  2. Open the Titanium locked door on the second floor (at the end of the hallway).
  3. In this room with water and food barrels, head into the Closet (beside the light switch). This is a back passage into a locked room. Check the chest of drawers to the left of the lamp. In the bottom drawer you will find the Drain Cleaner. Pick this up.
  4. Go to the second floor Bathroom (located towards the middle of the banister). Use the Drain Cleaner on the sink to dislodge the object.
  5. Go to the Basement and turn left as soon as you get down the stairs. You will see an item glowing on the floor. Pick up the item and you have obtained the Hex Key.

Locations of Locks you can Pick

You will need to find the Hex Key and paperclips which are scattered around the House in order to pick locks. Whilst this is optional, it is really helpful to search for these locks as you can find new items and resources that will help you on your mission. This is a guide on where to find these locks and what you obtain if you open them.

  • In a chest of drawers in the room where you first wake up, beside the cage – x4 Bullets
  • Inside the second-floor room with water and food barrels, head into the closet to enter a locked room. In this room you will find another chest of drawers with a simple lock – x3 Bullets
  • On the first floor, in the middle of the hall. There is a small cabinet with a lamp on top – x4 Bullets and Bandages.
  • First floor bathroom, beside the small cabinet in the hallway is a cabinet – Rubbing Alcohol
  • First floor front room, where the grandma “rests”. There is a television on a TV stand and a dead body on the armchair opposite in this room. There is a locked cupboard in the TV stand – Bandages and 1 Bullet
  • After falling into the side area (green wallpaper/other side of the metal door in the Kitchen), follow this corridor till you reach the end (you will see barrels in the corner) and turn left. Go into this room where you will see a torso on a bed, a chair and a cabinet. This is one of the hardest locks to pick in the game and it has the best reward – Backpack (allowing you to hold twice as many items at once).
  • Second floor room at the end of the corridor, closet lock (another difficult lock)- Flashlight (put away using ‘F’) and Bandages

Location of the Front Door Key

The Front Door Key is crucial to getting the Escape Ending. It can be found in the Kitchen, dropped onto the floor after using the Can Opener. In order to use the Can Opener, you have to find all 3 batteries.
