Cool down with some Ice Stones

Battle Gym Leaders and explore the vast open world of the new region Paldea, in the new Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Level up your Pokémon, build that unbreakable bond, find those Evolution Stones and evolve that Pokémon. Whilst some Evolution Stones can be bought, most need to be found through searching the regions of Paldea. These are the unique Pokémon which you can evolve with the Ice Stone in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

What is an Ice Stone?

An Ice Stone is an Evolutionary Stone, used to transform a unique set of Pokémon. As the Ice in the title suggests, this Stone can only be used on specific Ice-Type Pokémon. The Evolutionary Stones that are in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are:

Where to Find the Ice Stone

The Ice Stone cannot be purchased in the stores of Paldea, unlike the Fire, Water, Leaf and Thunder Evolution Stones. Instead, players must obtain the Ice Stone by going to the correct secret spots in Paldea. The areas to check are inside the Glaseado Mountain region, one of the Northern regions. The Ice Stone are located in this snowy climate. The Ice Stones can be found both at the peak of the Mountain region and at the Southern border of the mountain, in the rocky terrain.

Ice Stone Pokémon List

For all Evolution Stones, the Ice Stone only works for a small amount of Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet. The Pokémon that can be evolved using the Ice Stone in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are:

  • Eevee into Glaceon
  • Crabrawler into Crabominable
  • Cetoddle into Cetitan

Where to Find Crabrawler

Crabrawler is located in the Provinces:

  • East Province (Area One)
  • East Province (Area Two)
  • West Province (Area One)
  • West Province (Area Two)
  • South Province (Area Three)

This Pokémon is also located in the Glaseado Mountains. Crabrawler can either be found on the borders of the provinces or in the snowy Mountain regions. However, players are much more likely to locate Crabrawler in the East and West provinces rather than the Mountain. You will find Crabrawler predominately on the sandy beaches and edges of the East and West provinces.

Where to Find Cetoddle

Similar to Crabrawler, Cetoddle is located primarily in the Northern Regions:

  • North Province (Area One)
  • North Province (Area Three)
  • Glaseado Mountain

Cetoddle has a high spawn chance of 60% and 50% in the biomes, Snow and Mountain. Because of their high spawn rate probability, Cetoddle is the easiest Pokémon to locate and catch.
