The first chapter in Prime Matter and Brass Token’s new survival horror title, The Chant holds some of the game’s most important tidbits both in its story as well as through its finely-tuned combat and puzzle-solving mechanics that keep players trucking on for more.
The game throws out its first real puzzle to solve as Jess attempts to gain access to the Cannery where a possessed Kim has taken up shelter in. And if you’re wondering how to gain access to the Cannery, you’re in luck! We’ve got all of Dodecahedron Key piece locations so that you can put them together and get to Kim.
All Dodecahedron Key Piece Locations in The Chant
Once you’ve fixed the fuse box and spoken to Kim, revealing her possession, you’ll have access to a large area including a boathouse, a large shed-like building, and the Cannery building itself. In order to gain access to the Cannery, you’ll need to find 3 different pieces, that when put together, create the Dodecahedron Key which opens a door set behind that shed building that leads directly to the Cannery’s backdoor.
The first and easiest Dodecahedron Key piece is located on a desk in that shed. Once you interact with a Dodecahedron piece, it’ll automatically be added to your inventory. To gain access to the next piece, go back outside of the shed and follow the deck to your left. There will be a red toolbox.

Open it up and you’ll find a key that you’ll take directly over to the boathouse door. Unlock the door and head inside. The next Dodecahedron piece is going to be in a boat on the dock outside of the boathouse and is being held by a skeleton. Pick it up.
Your third and final key is going to be in the attic of the Cannery. To access it, head towards the shed and you’ll see a ladder that you can climb up. Do so, and then go through the opening on the right side until you reach some cultists that you’ll fight. The Dodecahedron piece is hanging in the middle of the wall near them.
Once you’ve got all 3 pieces, head into your inventory and interact with them, combining them as you go. You’ll then want to go back into the shed, go through the door on the other side of the room, and then place the Dodecahedron Key into the door with the Dodecahedron shape on it. And voila! You’re in!
