Ragnarok Origin Currencies Explained

There are 4 currencies in total in Ragnarok Origin and each one has its main purpose. As you will see, they can be acquired by completing in-game tasks and quests, as free rewards from game developers when there’s an event, or even through codes that we have listed in our Ragnarok Origin Codes article. Some will, however, be on the premium side and require real money.

Without further ado, let’s dive in and explain all currencies.

Eden Coin

Eden Coin is a utility currency that you will get plenty of from many daily in-game events, after completing quests and mini-quests as well as from codes. Further, you can cook dishes and create potions that you can later sell for a nice amount of Eden Coins.

Even though you will have tens or even hundreds of thousands of Eden Coins without much struggle, there are many things in Ragnarok Origin that cost Eden Coins so make sure you don’t overspend. Make a strategy about what is most important for you and upgrade those things first so you keep your Eden Coin budget healthy. The currency is mostly used for weapon upgrading, buying different equipment, crafting, etc.

Zeny

Zeny is the primary currency used in Ragnarok Origin. You will spend it to get various potions, items, weapons, cards, tickets, and much more. You could also use it to trade in the in-game Exchange Center which acts like a real-time market where the value of items constantly rises and drops. Pay attention to daily and weekly events that the game provides as they will be a great driver of Zeny. Further, when you use the latest codes for the game, Zeny will almost always be listed as one of the rewards.

Diamonds

Diamonds are the first step towards paying for in-game currency. They can both be bought with real money and acquired in-game when completing the main storyline, beating MVP Boss Hunts, fighting in Alfheim solo dungeons, getting achievements, or from your Guild’s activities such as Space-Time Anomaly and Guild Expedition. One other way of getting Diamonds is through the Growth Fund which requires a one-time fee. After you join the fund you will get Diamonds as rewards when you reach level up.

Diamonds can be spent on various items from the Diamond shop such as Gacha Tickets, armor upgrading materials such as Elunium, Pet Coupons, and much more.

Nyan Berry

Nyan Berry is a premium currency in Ragnarok Origin that you can get with money. You will use it to buy Discounted Packs, Gift Boxes, and refinement items to improve your weapons and armor. Also, you will get access to many Appearances, cosmetic items that can often be only bought with Nyan Berries.
