All Cultist Types and How to Defeat Them In The Chant

The new survival title from Prime Matter and Brass Token is here; The Chant. Serving players a trippy cult horror narrative to play through, this game is never short in the chills department. Whether through its story beats or character designs, this one can be bone-chilling.

Some of the best character designs in The Chant have to be the cultist though. They’re also some of the most interesting enemies you’ll encounter in the game as well. So today, we’re going to go over each one of the cultist types and explain a tip or two on how to defeat them. Let’s check them out!

All Cultist Types and How to Defeat Them In The Chant

Though each cultist type has its own attacks and weaknesses, all of these enemies have one thing in common, when they go for a heavy attack, they will glow a specific color, indicating to you that you can dodge or parry their attacks in order to get the better of them. Now that that’s out of the way, let’s go over each one!

Rams

Out of all of the cultist types, you’ll come across, the Ram are the most common and the wildest attackers. Not only will they viciously attack you head-on in melee fashion, but they can also telepathically affect Jess’ mind, emitting Mind Attacks which stun her. Be careful, this can open her up to being attacked by another enemy.

Bears

Perhaps the most formidable foe out of all of the cultist enemy types has got to be the bear. It’s a merciless fighter that solely goes in for melee damage but pummels hard and can take a fair beating itself. It’s best to use some of your Prism Abilities against these guys to help take them out easier.

Deer

This is a cultist type you really won’t see until the second half of the game. They float around like ghosts, keeping a distance and serving more as support for their cultist brethren, sending Mind Attacks. These ones really aren’t that difficult to take out if you can get close to them as they die pretty easily.

Horses

This cultist type isn’t seen all that much in-game but can be a pain since they move pretty quickly. Though, I don’t think they’re as terrible to face as the Ram since they don’t have much that makes them a nuisance.
