Cats are truly some of the most mysterious animals. You take your eyes off them for a second, and when you look back, they’ve gotten themselves into some completely implausible location. They’re lucky they’re so cute, or we wouldn’t bother to help them get back home. Here are all the cat locations in River City Girls 2.
All Cat Locations in River City Girls 2
As you journey through River City’s Uptown district, you’ll come across a cat cafe above the Toy District. Misako and Kyoko’s friend (well, associate, anyway) Mihoko works here, but she’s made an oopsie: 20 of the cafe’s cats slipped out and she really needs to round them up. And by “she,” I of course mean “you.”
These cats are scattered all over River City’s various districts, usually in high or obtuse places. If you walk over one, you’ll automatically send it back home. Since some of the cats are in the game’s last area, you’ll need to progress the story until you can find all of them. The cats are broken up like this:
- 6 cats in Crosstown
- 1 cat in Uptown
- 3 cats in Downtown
- 3 cats in Flatirons
- 3 cats in Ocean Heights
- 2 cats in Technos
- 2 cats in Sanwakai Tower
Crosstown Cat Locations
- Go to the big tree at the center of the roundabout on Capitol Ave. The cat is sitting on one of its higher branches.
- Run right on Capitol Ave. Bridge, and you’ll find the cat on the divider in the middle of the road.
- In Town Square, perform a wall jump off the rightmost pillar of the bank entrance to reach the cat on the apartment balcony.
- In the mall Food Court, the cat is sitting on a crate to the immediate right of the tea shop entrance.
- At the Mall Exit, the cat is sitting on the right stone pillar in the fountain. Jump off the platform in the middle to reach it.
- At the Parking Garage, the cat is sitting atop the toll booth at the right-side exit. Jump off the sign above the exit to reach it.
Uptown Cat Locations
- Uptown’s one cat can be found in the Fashion District, sitting on the awning above Spicy Subject (the store with the “Go Away” mat out front).
Downtown Cat Locations
- At the Farmer’s Market, jump up the windows on the outside of the apartment building to find the cat.
- On the fourth floor of the Apartments, wait next to the elevator to find the cat when its door opens.

Ocean Heights Cat Locations

- At the Ocean Heights Shops, wall jump off the far right wall to reach the top of the arch and grab the cat from the roof of the dojo.
- On the Beach, climb the rightmost rock formation, then jump to the dock on the right to reach the cat.
Technos Cat Locations
- At the Security Gate, jump on the left white table, then up onto the stone wall. You’ll find the cat on top of the wall above the security booth.
- In the Technos Museum, jump onto the glass case on the left side of the room, then perform a running jump onto the big T-rex statue. The cat is on its head.
Sanwakai Tower Cat Locations
- At the Sanwakai Tower entrance (which is also called “Sanwakai Tower” on the map), jump off the dumpster to reach the neon sign, in front of which is the cat.
- In the Mao Sushi restaurant, jump off the conveyer belt to reach the second floor of the room, where you’ll find the cat on a table.
Return to Mihoko at the cat cafe to claim your reward of cash, XP, and an accessory, as well as the warm fuzzy feeling that comes from helping cute kitties.
