All 15 Dragon Vein Essences in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is an exciting game for many reasons and the many secrets it is hiding are certainly one of them. Dragon Vein Essence is one of those secrets, hidden across your surroundings while playing the game. Since this usable item can increase the recovery effect of the Dragon’s Cure Pot, it’s very sought after. Especially when we know that there are only 15 of them throughout the whole story.

In this article, we will explore all Dragon Vein Essence locations and help you find each and every one of them.

Location of All 15 Dragon Vein Essences in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty

As we mentioned Dragon Vein Essences are secret consumable items that can be found across the map in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. However, not all of them are so difficult to find and chances are that you have found more than a few just by playing the game and exploring the world around you.

Nevertheless, here are the locations of all 15 Dragon Vein Essences so you can be sure that you’ve got them all.

Dragon Vein Essence No. 1

The first Essence is located in the sub-battlefield called the Yellow Heaven Burns. Go to the 2nd Battle Flag there and look to your right. Climb the stones and proceed down the narrow path between two big rocks. Make a U-turn and follow the path forward. You will find yourself in a courtyard with a big gate on your left and a smaller one on your right. Right in front of the smaller gate, there will be a big chest. Open it and in it, you will find the first Dragon Vein Essence.

Dragon Vein Essence No. 2

The second Essence can be found on the main battlefield, in the Valley of Crying Wraths. From the Battle Flag 6 location, go left and follow the path leading you downwards. When at the small crossroad, go right and follow the path until you encounter two tiger bosses (you might or might not encounter them). Fight them or try to ignore them, your call. On the right-hand side, near a wall with a massacred dead body, there will be the second Dragon Vein Essence.

Dragon Vein Essence No. 3

The next Essence is located on the main battlefield, in the mission called In search of the Immortal Wizard. Go in the opposite direction of the 5th Battle Flag and turn left. Climb the rocks and go left again until you reach densely intertwined lianas. Walk on top of the first liana, jump to the one in front of it, and go right. Again you will have to jump over to a third liana and there you will find the third Dragon Vein Essence.

Dragon Vein Essence No. 4

Another Essence can be found on the main battlefield, in a mission called Fall of the Corrupted Eunuch. Find yourself near the 2nd Battle Flag and head left to a big cell with a broken-down entrance. You will find a key here that unlocks another cell. Now, when you leave the cell go to your right, and right before reaching the doorway turn left instead of going through it. You will find a small locked cell. Use the key that you found earlier to unlock it and there you will find your fourth Dragon Vein Essence.

Dragon Vein Essence No. 5

The next Essence is located on the main battlefield, in the Battle of Hulaoguan Pass mission. Starting from Battle Flag 3 go down a narrow path that leads into the fort. Pass the guard tower, climb the rocks, and enter the camp through a big gateway. You will see some dead soldiers laying around and a big ballista. Take the ballista and aim it at the big wooden wall on the left side of the platform right across from you. You will be able to tear it down with one shot. After you do it, walk over there, and climb the various levels of the wooden platforms until you reach the highest one with a chest on it. Open the chest and you will find your fifth Dragon Vein Essence.

Dragon Vein Essence No. 6

The 6th Essence is located on the main battlefield, in the mission called Darkness over the Hanshui River. From the location of the 6th Battle Flag jump onto the abandoned boat in the river and cross to the other side. On your right, you will see an abandoned house with a porch. Go into the house, open the big chest found inside and you will find your Dragon Vein Essence number 6.

Dragon Vein Essence No. 7

For this Essence, you will have to be on the main battlefield, in the Tyrant’s Final Banquet mission. Go to the right of the 4th Battle Flag and follow the path forward until you reach a small room with three different paths. Take the one on your left, through the big open gate, and continue walking on the left side until you pass another gate. In the middle of the new room, you will see a big wooden platform. Climb on it and head left three times until you find yourself on sort of a bridge that is broken in the middle. Jump over to the other side but don’t continue walking down the bridge. Instead, turn left, and you will see a small hanging wooden platform with loot. That will be the 7th Dragon Vein Essence.

Dragon Vein Essence No. 8

The following Essence is on the sub-battlefield called Fate of the Entertainer. Move forward from the 2nd Battle Flag location and follow the cobbled path until you reach a small bridge. In the middle of that bridge, you will find the 8th Dragon Vein Essence.

Dragon Vein Essence No. 9

The next Essence is on the main battlefield in a mission called War’s Flames Blaze Fiercely. From the 5th Battle Flag head downwards towards the river and use the wheel next to it to lower the river’s level. Now head back up in the opposite direction through the rubble until you reach an opening leading to sub-levels. Jump onto the first sub-level with the red light on it and head right. Follow the path onward into the shallow water and then climb on a ladder to reach the opposite side. Climb the stairs, and look to your right. On top of a small pile of rubble, you will find the 9th Dragon Vein Essence.

Dragon Vein Essence No. 10

In a way, Essence No. 10 is located nearby Essence No. 9 but they spawn at different times. In the sub-battlefield, The Unhibited Heart, from the location of the 2nd Battle Flag, go down to the sub-levels. On the first level where you see the red light go right and follow the path forward. When you reach the stairs and a big empty pool, jump down into the shallow waters and climb the ladder to reach the other side. Climb the stairs and on top of the stairs, you will find a big chest containing the 10th Dragon Vein Essence.

Dragon Vein Essence No. 11

The 11th Essence is found on the main battlefield, in a mission Lu Bu, Mightiest Among Men. Start from the 5th Battle Flag and head in the opposite direction from it. Follow the path through the ruined city and torn-down houses until you reach a big house with a lot of rubble in it. Move through its big room and head to the opening in the wall leading outside. As soon as you are out, turn right and jump over the obstacle. In front of you, on the right-hand side, you will see a house and small rubble on its left side with a shining loot. Go and pick it up and you will have your 11th Dragon Vein Essence.

Dragon Vein Essence No. 12

Another Essence can be located on the main battlefield, in a mission Behold the Glaive of Righteousness. From Battle Flag 2 head right and follow the path until you reach a cave. Don’t enter the cave, but instead turn right and jump down two levels. Follow the path forward and then turn left. You will soon see a big wooden platform with a ladder. Climb on it, do a U-turn, and move a bit more forward and you will see the 12th Dragon Vein Essence.

Dragon Vein Essence No. 13

You will find this next Essence when you are in the sub-battlefield, a mission the Assult on Wuchao. Right next to the location of the 2nd Battle Flag, there will be a rubble opening lit red. Go through it and you will find a big chest that contains the 13th Dragon Vein Essence.

Dragon Vein Essence No. 14

This Essence is in the main battlefield, a mission called the Decisive Battle of Guandu. Start at the 3rd Battle Flag and head down to the house with a big red tree leaning on it. Climb on the tree and follow the red branches to your right.

You will go over a roof and continue to follow the red path until you enter an abandoned house. Once in it, move to the left and again climb on the path made of red-infused branches until you reach the roof of another house. Do a U-turn here and continue following the red path. When you’re on solid ground once again go right until you see a downward path. Jump down 2 levels and enter the abandoned house with a big chest in it. Open the chest and you got yourself a 14th Dragon Vein Essence.

Dragon Vein Essence No. 15

The last Essence is a bit trickier. It will require both Taoist’s House Key and the Taoist’s Backyard key (we offer the guide for these below). Once you have them you can go in search of the 15th and the last Dragon Vein Essence. It is actually located in the Hidden Village.

Once in the Hidden Village head down the liana path and follow it until you reach a vegetable garden and a girl in white standing in front of a house. Talk to her (Hermit of Tianzhu) and she will tell you how she lost the House key and will rejoice when she hears you have it. Use the key to unlock the house in front of which she is standing and attempt to unlock the back door. Now again talk to her to prompt the conversation about the backdoor key before you can use it. Once you talk it through unlock the back door, go to the right, and climb a rock. You will see a small parchment of land with one tree and underneath it, you will find the 15th Dragon Vein Essence.

Taoist’s House Key Location

The Taoist’s house key on the main battlefield in a mission called In Search of the Immortal Wizard. From the 5th Battle Flag head right and go down the narrow path. When at the crossroad, turn right, and just as you pass two stone pillars stop. Turn around and next to the left pillar you will see the Taoist’s House Key.

Taoist’s Backyard Key Location

The Taoist’s backyard key is on the main battlefield in the mission War’s Flames Blaze Fiercely. Start from the 6th Battle Flag location and head down through the shallow water. You will walk through one set of pillars, before you walk through the next set, look to your right and you will see a room. Go there and you will find the Taoist’s Backyard Key.
