All Live A Live Main Characters And Which Chapter to Find Them

Many eras, many heroes.

Live A Live’s main hook is that, rather than a single overarching story, it’s made up of multiple independent stories, each with its own plot and conclusion. Each of these stories has its own protagonist, the character you’ll be directly controlling and getting to know. All of these characters, in turn, will help paint the singular point that every story ultimately leads to. Here’s a list of All Live A Live main characters and which chapter to find them in.

All Live A Live Main Characters And Which Chapter to Find Them

While there is technically a progression from story to story, as each chapter takes place in a different time period, you aren’t required to play them in order. You can start at the past and work your way to the future, or just pick and choose the chapters in whatever order strikes your interest. The only catch is that there are two chapters that can only be played when every other chapter has been completed.

The chapters and their main characters are as follows:

Prehistory – The First: Pogo

This chapter takes place in the time before time, the era of cavemen. There is no dialogue in this chapter because, well, language hasn’t been invented yet, but everyone can still convey their feelings through various grunts and shouts. Our hero is Pogo, a young cave lad who appoints himself the bodyguard of a young girl who was set to be sacrificed to a dinosaur god.

Imperial China – The Successor: Earthen Heart Shifu

This chapter takes place in Imperial China and follows an elderly kung fu practitioner known only as the Earthen Heart Shifu. The Shifu is getting on in years, so to ensure his personal style of kung fu stands the test of time, he seeks out three young talents to train and take up his mantle.

Twilight of Edo Japan – The Infiltrator: Oboromaru

This chapter takes place in feudal Japan, where a local warlord has struck a bargain with demonic forces to throw the land into chaos. To prevent this, rookie ninja Oboromaru must infiltrate the warlord’s castle and rescue the politician that’s set to be sacrificed.

The Wild West – The Wanderer: The Sundown Kid

This chapter takes place in the sun-soaked deserts of the Wild West. A wandering outlaw, the Sundown Kid, meets his longtime rival for a shootout, only for them to end up teaming up to defend a frontier town from roving bandits.

Present Day – The Strongest: Masaru Takahara

This chapter takes place in the modern-day. Hot-blooded marital artist Masaru Takahara wants to be the strongest combatant in the world, and to make that happen, he’s going to punch and kick his way to the top of the global fighting circuit, taking down masters in every style there is.

The Near Future – The Outsider: Akira

This chapter takes place in the not-too-distant future, where science and technology have reached new heights. Our hero is an orphan named Akira who possesses strange psychokinetic abilities. Akira uses these abilities to pursue a biker gang that’s been kidnapping children for a dark purpose.

Far Future – Mechanical Heart: Cube

This chapter takes place far into the future when mankind has taken to the stars. Aboard the shipping vessel Cogito Ergo Sum, a helper robot named Cube is activated just as the ship’s cargo, an alien Behemoth, escapes and begins hunting down the crew.

The Middle Ages – The Lord of Dark: Oersted

This chapter takes place in a time of swords and magic and is only playable after every other chapter has been completed. Our hero is Oersted, a knight tasked with defeating the Lord of Dark to rescue the kidnapped princess.

When all of these chapters are beaten, you’ll have one last chapter to go through, but we’ll just keep the details on that one to ourselves. We will say, though, that just because all of the main characters have their own independent stories, that doesn’t mean you don’t need to keep them properly leveled. Trust me, you’ll be glad you did.
