How to Beat the Final Boss in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge

The game’s final stage, “Wrath of the Lady,” is just a straight-up boss fight, no lead-in. It’s here that we see what Krang and Shredder wanted the Statue of Liberty for: to transform it into a giant superpowered weapon for Krang to command. The newly-christened Statue of Tyranny must be stopped!

To start, the Statue will use a couple of standby attacks, including targeted explosions projected from its visor and shockwave-producing ground slams. The explosions can be avoided by simply staying out of the highlighted areas, while the shockwaves can be jumped over. In fact, you can actually stand right next to the Statue while it uses its ground slams and simply dodge forward to avoid them, giving you a nice, big window to whale on it.

After a while, the Statue will lower itself to eye-level, where it’ll unleash a massive screen-spanning beam from its mouth. Make sure to stand at the very bottom of the stage to avoid the beam. The Statue will then move back out of your attack range while some Foot Soldiers file in. Grab the Foot Soldiers and throw them to the right at the Statue to keep damaging it. It’ll then return to arm level for one last round of shockwaves until you finish it off.

That’s not the end of things, however. After the Statue is dealt with, you’ll jump down to the streets to confront Shredder, who smashes a mutagen canister to assume his ultimate (and fan-favorite) form: Super Shredder!

Super Shredder is completely invulnerable to your attacks, and will usually counter any attempts with a phantom image of himself. As such, you should hang back at the far end of the stage, out of his range. He’ll dash around, leaving trails of fire in his wake, but you can just jump over them. He’ll also unleash some foot-level circles of flames that you can jump over as well. After a while, Super Shredder will freak out and create a temporary barrier around himself, which will then pop and leave him vulnerable. That’s your moment to rush in and let him have it until he stands back up. Repeat this sequence until you get him down to about half health.

When his health is low, Super Shredder will hide in a bubble in the center of the stage, while phantom images will appear at the four corners, launching projectiles at you. Simply smash the phantoms with any attack, and Super Shredder’s barrier will pop, leaving him vulnerable again. Keep repeating until his health drains out.

Congrats, you’ve beaten Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge!
