Most futuristic or sci-fi settings have their own variation of fancy-schmancy building material. After all, when you’re building stuff on hostile alien worlds, you can’t use plain old steel or concrete. In the setting of Dune, the building material of choice is Plascrete, which combines the light, flexible nature of plastic with the sheer durability of concrete. If you’re building up an empire, you’re gonna need a lot of this stuff. Here’s how to get Plascrete in Dune: Spice Wars.
How to Get Plascrete in Dune: Spice Wars
Plascrete is one of your major resources in Dune: Spice Wars. It’s used in the construction of just about any kind of building or construct you can think of, which makes it one of the most valuable and important resources in the entire game, second only to Spice. To get your sandy mitts on some Plascrete, you’ll need to construct a Plascrete Factory.
To construct a Plascrete Factory, just click on a Village allied to you, click the little plus sign to bring up the build menu, and select the Factory to set it up. Plascrete Factories can be constructed in any Village under your Faction’s banner to begin churning out Plascrete for your use. Technically, any Village can house a Plascrete Factory, but the best place to build one is in a Village near a mineral deposit. If a Village is near a mineral deposit, any Plascrete Factories you build there will produce 50% more Plascrete than usual.
Besides constructing a Plascrete Factory, there are a handful of ways you can source small amounts of the stuff. Investigating points of interest in the overworld may occasionally reward you with some Plascrete, you might get some as a reward for completing missions, and you can barter for it from other Factions, provided you have something valuable to trade like water, Spice, or Solari.
