Owning one of these beasts is quite the status symbol, and the only thing that would be cooler is owning a gigantic Alpha variant. Right off the bat, there’s a bit of a problem with this pursuit: Hisuian Arcanine doesn’t spawn as an Alpha variant. It doesn’t even spawn in the wild; the only way to get one is by evolving a Hisuian Growlithe. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t get an Alpha Hisuian Arcanine, it just means you have to take a bit of a roundabout route to get to one.

How to Get Alpha Hisuian Arcanine in Pokemon Legends Arceus

Here is how to get an Alpha Hisuian Arcanine in Pokemon Legends Arceus:

1. Go to either Windbreak Stand or Veilstone Cape in the Cobalt Coastlands
2. Enter and exit the area until an Alpha Hisuian Growlithe appears and catch it
3. Evolve the Alpha Hisuian Growlithe into an Alpha Hisuian Arcanine with a Fire Stone

The first thing you need is to find an Alpha Hisuian Growlithe. Finding a regular Hisuian Growlithe is easy; they appear on top of Windbreak Stand and Veilstone Cape in the Cobalt Coastlands, though you’ll need to have progressed far enough in the story to enlist the aid of Sneasler to climb up there. The problem is that an Alpha Hisuian Growlithe doesn’t have a static spawn, but merely a random chance to appear in one of those locations instead of a regular Hisuian Growlithe. If you check both areas and there isn’t an Alpha Hisuian Growlithe at either, you’ll need to exit and reenter the Cobalt Coastlands to reset the spawns and check again. Get comfortable, as this could take a while.

If you’re lucky enough to see an Alpha Hisuian Growlithe, make sure you catch it, either by throwing PokeBalls from a hiding spot in tall grass or by engaging it in combat directly. As with all Alphas, it will be aggressive if it sees you, so be prepared for a fight either way.

How to Evolve Alpha Hisuian Growlithe into Alpha Hisuian Arcanine

Once you’ve caught an Alpha Hisuian Growlithe, all you need to do is evolve it into a Hisuian Arcanine, and it’ll retain its Alpha size and status. To do this, you just need a Fire Stone, which you can find by smashing shaking ore deposits, checking inside Space Time Distortions, completing certain requests, or trading for one with Merit Points. Just use the Fire Stone on the Alpha Hisuian Growlithe, and you’ve got your Alpha Hisuian Arcanine, big enough to even give the Noble Arcanine a run for its money.
