You can head back to the Jubilife Village and then come back to this area later to continuously farm these pieces of wood. This appears to be the most efficient way to gather wood at the moment.

After gathering three pieces of wood, you can go back to Anvin and make the Pokeshi Doll. He will be thoroughly impressed by your craftsmanship and carving skills. Anvin will give you the Pokeshi Doll he made in return, and the quest will be finished.

Note that there are many other places you can find wood in Pokemon Legends Arceus, but these three make for a very simple and easy farm route. Keep an eye out for pieces of wood around any forest or wooded area.
