Figuring out which playstyle and mech is best for you is part of the fun of Armored Core 6. Players have the ability to mix and match a myriad of parts in order to find out what works best for the current situation. This is what makes aiming in the game one of the key integral parts of Armored Core 6. While it’s important to find the right type of gun, figuring out the best way to aim it also has significant implications. As such, we’re going to load up and figure out how to manual aim in Armored Core 6.
How to Manual Aim in Armored Core 6
Manual Aim in Armored Core 6 can be toggled on and off easily at any time in the game once it’s unlocked. Manual Aim is one of the OS unlocks you can purchase for your mech, using 2 OST Chips that you earn in the Arena. From there, in order to swap to manual aim, press the middle mouse button on M&K. For the rest of us on controller, click in on the right stick. Because the game offers a few different targeting options for the game, players are able to swap between them as one would swap shoulders in a third-person shooter. For the most part, you’ll want to make sure you deploy a decent variety of aiming modes in Armored Core 6.

For example, if you have enemies rushing you and swarming you from all sides, you’ll want to lock on to targets to keep them in your sights and you’re maneuvering around them. Conversely, if you have enemies shooting at you from a distance, it might be better to manually aim at them to deal massive long-range damage. You’ll want to test each option, and at the end of the day, you’re able to swap it with the touch of a button. So don’t freak out if you can’t hit anything with manual aim, swap and try and different mode.
