How to Farm Blood Moon Essence in Remnant 2

Where to Find Blood Moon Essence

The Blood Moon Essence is a specific type of enemy which is relatively harmless due to its evasive behavior when you show up to shoot it down. The Essence appears as balls of light that emit a red glow. You will find these only in areas in which a Blood Moon occurs. Much like summoning the Blood Moon in Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players will need to trick the game in order to release the Blood Moon. Where this event would naturally take place after a duration of time, players can utilize the Fast Travel system to get to and from the starter area titled Yaesha. These dense forests house the Blood Moon Event and it’s release of the Essence that you require to farm.

What you need to do is utilize the Fast Travel point to go into Yaesha and peer inside. You will note if the Blood Moon is present by looking up at the sky and seeing the most obvious sign of the event – the literally bleeding red moon. If it is not there, simply Fast Travel out of there and return again. Do this on repeat until the Blood Moon shows itself. When it does you should find a total of 4 Essence that will be flying around the forest. It is best to use a long-range weapon here to shoot these down, however, so long as you have accuracy and precision, you should be able to shoot these down with a couple bullets in your magazine.

Upon getting the Essence, exit via the glowing doors that take you into the corresponding area. There is no need to Fast Travel here. Turn around and re-enter the forest of Yaesha where the Blood Moon Event will still be on-going. The Essence in the area will reset, allowing you to farm another 4. Continue this process until you have enough Essence you want for the Altar or gather a total of 15 for the Summoner Archetype.
