Turning Fears off in The Sims 4

Sims are simple creatures and have fears and wants. The players who control them can either decide to fulfill those wants and soothe Sims from fears, or, they can ignore them completely. The Sims franchise introduced Sims having fears when The Sims 2 came out in 2004. This gameplay mechanic helped create fun stories and was a way to boost the player’s desire to finish tasks. In The Sims 4, players wanted to just turn the feature off completely.

If you want to turn the feature off because you’re tired of your Sim being scared of everything, we got you. One of the ways you can remove fear buffs caused by different scenarios in your Sims lives is by buying a Fear-Be-Gone potion. You can locate this potion in the Rewards Shop located in the Aspirations menu of your Sim. Another method you could do is turning the feature off permanently and that’s through your game options.

  • Click on your game options
  • Search for Gameplay in the menu
  • Locate “Show Wants and Fears”
  • Disable the box
  • Save
