How to Revive in Eternal Return

With the official release of Eternal Return, the latest in the Battle Royale genre of video gaming, transforms its gameplay by focussing on Squad Mode over Solo and Duo. What this means is that those who have been playing Eternal Return throughout its Early Access phase would need to adopt a completely new method of playing the game if they were previously used to playing Solo only. Going more down the route of Overwatch, Apex Legends and Valorant, Eternal Return places teamwork at the forefront and leave its solo players behind. Whilst some may not be a fan of this decision, it has been confirmed that Solo and Duo Modes are delayed rather than completely removed. For those trying Eternal Return for the first time or revisiting upon its official release, this is Vincent’s guide on how to revive teammates.

How to Revive Teammates in Eternal Return

As we all know with Battle Royale games, it is imperative that you be the last one standing. Whilst in the official release of Eternal Return means that glory will not arrive to a single player but a squad of teammates, the premise acts similarly to the powerhouses of Warzone and Apex Legends. Eternal Return however, thought long and hard about how the revival system in the Battle Royale works. If you or your teammate were to fall during battle, you have a limited amount of time to resuscitate, this is approximately 500 seconds long. Your downed teammate can continually crawl but movement like this is not recommended if there are other players in the vicinity. All downed played still have a health bar that if destroyed, will result in them dying and having to be brought back into the game with a different method.

If you or your teammate are downed however, you can easily pick your teammate back up by interacting with their body. It is a similar process to that of Call of Duty or Apex Legends where you have time to bring them back into the game without their character de-spawning. If and more appropriately when your teammate de-spawns and fully dies, you will need to go to their corpse and loot the Regeneration Cuff. This then can be used at the Body Reconstruction Terminals scattered around the map. There are a total of 3 Terminals that are available to use every game but once used, the Terminal shuts down and alerts all alive enemies that a Terminal was used. It is a high risk, high reward procedure as once you revive your teammate not only will the enemies know but if there were paying attention to the Terminal locations, they can work out exactly where you are on the map.
