Is Six Days in Fallujah Multiplayer? All Game Modes and Campaign Explained

Get your communication skills up

In this Co-op experience, Six Days in Fallujah is all about your teamwork and communication skills. If you are someone who does not enjoy talking to randoms on the mic, often muting them the second you get into the match, your playstyle would need to change. No longer can you run off to flank the enemy without comm’ing to your teammates. Kills do not matter in this game, for the soldiers serving in the Second Battle in Fallujah were not thinking about their Nuke Killstreak in the middle of rescuing civilians. This is Vincent’s guide on everything you need to know about Six Days in Fallujah from Campaign to its Game Modes.

Everything There is to Know About Six Days in Fallujah

Six Days in Fallujah focusses on providing real-life scenarios from the POV of a 4-man Fireteam. You will need to pressure the opposing side through luring them into traps, covering your teammates whilst they push up or breach areas with the knowledge that someone is lurking on the other side of the door. But unlike Call of Duty, there is no slow-motion to help you out once you breach. With an emphasis on smart AI, Six Days in Fallujah throws the Fireteam into the deep-end, having to figure out problems that directly correlate to the real world issues that the Second Battle in Fallujah Battalion would have faced. Six Days in Fallujah is a pure Co-op experience, where you will need to head into a Mission with your team of 4, designating them to their Roles to make up the Fireteam.

As of its Early Access release in June 2023, Six Days in Fallujah follows a core gameplay mechanic of PvE, where you and your friends or strangers can head into a Mission to tackle difficult scenarios set up by the AI on the map. This follows a similar gameplay formula much like Ready or Not, Zero Hour and Ground Branch. To compare it to a Call of Duty game would be Modern Warfare 2’s (2009) Spec Ops Missions. You will head into the Lobby Screen, invite your friends or go into Matchmaking for the specific Mission chosen and then assign Roles before the Mission begins. However, unlike Spec Ops, players cannot select the Mission they wish to play on. Instead, it behaves more like Call of Duty’s map rotation in Multiplayer, with no way of voting for the next map.

Because of the Mission System where there is no selection, Six Days in Fallujah acts as a pure Co-op experience in which your team of 4 will head into a randomized Mission, with its base map and varying Objectives being set to complete inside that map. An example of a Mission Type is: Location and Evacuation. These act as both the Campaign and Multiplayer in Six Days in Fallujah. Because of this, Game Modes are not strictly announced by the game when you are in the Lobby Screen. Instead, the Mission Type and Objectives are provided once you get into the match. Remember that the Mission Type and Objectives are randomized. Fail the Objective and you will need to replay the Mission. Complete the Mission to get back to the Lobby and go into another Mission Type with new Objectives.

There is a chance that when you head back in after Mission completion that you receive the same Mission. Same Type and Objectives to complete, alongside the same exact map you had just played on. As the system is randomized, this is a possibility where once again you will need to complete the Mission in order to get something different. As of June 2023, Patch 0.1.2, players have access to 4 Mission Types in Six Days in Fallujah:

  • Secure the Apartment and Wounded Marines.
  • Clear the Area for Air Support.
  • Protect the Convoy.
  • Clear the Fortified Compound.
